This years JL / Waitrose Christmas ad

Hollyhock1, a friend posted the alternative on facebook. I couldn't share it because I was sobbing and weeping too much. Also because I love my facebook family and friends and feel they've all been through enough this year.
I must add - I didn't 'lose' my dog on the moors as the man in the ad did. I lost her on midsummers day, to a tumour in her stomach. She collapsed five days earlier, the vet thought she'd had a stroke but it became clear it was more gruesome and life threatening than that. I loved her very much.

Iam64, that's very sad to hear? and I'm very sorry for your loss.
I'm relieved that the alternative wasn't the televised one - at first I thought it was! That would be just too much to bear as the ending to this awful year.

Thanks for your kind words Hollyhock1. I felt as you do, that to share that alternative would have been just too much at the conclusion of this difficult year

This one brought a tear to my eye. The German at the end means something like "So you can cope with the things that really matter"

I hadn’t seen it before as I do try to avoid them where possible I like the sentiment of this one but don’t like the ad the cartoon characters don’t do anything for me
Not sure what you mean daddima I didn’t see a ‘ bald’ person they were all white men/boys with blond hair.... no girls, no women no one with the slightest tinge of colour no one disabled !!!far from ‘right on’

Love Celeste's voice so I've ordered her CD due out in January ,the actual ad leaves me cold .Sorry .I like Kevin the carrot too,love the Kilted Kevin but cant get one locally to add to my GD's collection.
