I have just done my ironing sitting down and found it to be a lot less stressful and much easier on the legs. think this might apply to any age group as well

Ive always ironed sitting down, and since retirement when DH doesn't have loads of uniform shirts and I don't have office wear , I tend to iron once a month. Its heaven :-)

My ironing board is still in its packaging and no doubt will stay there as it has been for at least a couple of years. I do not buy linen clothes or anything that looks as though it definitely needs to be ironed. My bedding is fine after a night in bed.

Wouldn't it be lovely if you could send the ironing here, and I send you my flowerbeds to weed?

I am finding weeding exceptionally tiring these days, but ironing, hoovering or washing floors are still all right.

There's nowt so queer as folk, is there?

I tried sitting down to iron but I was too low and it made my arms ache.

I have sat down to iron in the past when I pulled the ligaments on my leg and couldn’t stand . I actually quite like ironing so don’t normally mind including the standing. I always put on a favourite CD before I start. I can’t stand un-ironed pillow cases so always do bed linen.
