I have a friend who always has the same thing for breakfast every day ( weetabix with milk and sugar and a banana)now that is very nice, but I couldn’t have the same thing every morning day in day out.
I like to ring the changes so have all manner of things, marmalade on ryvitas or toast, cereal ( bran flakes or porridge or cornflakes with a scattering of dried fruit on)
Poached or scrambled eggs, a bacon roll, croissants, fruitbread, and even now and again pancakes. If I have a favourite amongst those it’s marmalade toast with a huge mug of tea.?
What’s your favourite?

A mug of coffee and two slices of toast with either peanut butter, marmalade or honey. It is many years since I had a cooked breakfast.

No breakfast, I'm doing the 16:8 diet. I don't think I'm losing weight though!!

When I do have breakfast, it's usually just a slice of bread or toast with butter, and a cup of tea.

Crumpets and marmite but not every day.

Same thing every day for me. I'm not a morning person so I make it easy for myself. One Weetabix and two cups of coffee, and that's breakfast done.

Special k or branflakes and a coffee. Couldn't stomach a fried breakfast.

I really only like cereal for breakfast - a creature of habit, that's me! At the moment I'm alternating between porridge and bite sized shredded wheat. Porridge mostly, made with half milk, half water. Sometimes with fresh fruit, or a sprinkling of raisins. And a cup of tea.

My favourite: several slices of thick crusty toast with butter and marmalade ana pot of coffee. A rare treat now.

Baggs Sat 27-Jan-18 22:36:17

Every day at the moment: seven dates and a large thick oatcake. Pot of tea.

Mashed banana, 2 Oatibix, ground almonds or seedy cereal topper, raisins (soaked overnight), all with almond milk or soya milk.
OR
Porridge made with water and a pinch of salt, sprinkled with Engevita and served with almond milk or soya milk.

Not too varied, but I really enjoy those things.

Cornflakes or toast with butter and two mugs of tea.

NonnaW Sat 27-Jan-18 22:54:19

2 cups of coffee.

Anniepops Sat 27-Jan-18 22:55:24

Porridge and blueberries. Delicious.

Muesli with extra sultanas and brazil nuts, with banana or apple on top and covered in soya milk; plus cup of peppermint tea.

Oat bran, Greek yogurt, honey and seeds (sometimes made into a smoothie) or 2 crispbreads with marmalade. Weekends I might have grilled tomatoes and mushrooms with 2 crispbreads. Always a cup of coffee as I'll have had tea first thing.

I do the 16:8 diet. Therefore I do not break my fast until mid day. Then I will either have a bowl of fruit and yogurt, or 2 boiled egg and 2 Ryvita.

Usually some variety of cereal and a mug of tea. Occasionally a sausage sarnie or poached egg on toast.

Porridge and strawberries with a splash of honey. Sometimes I have blueberries or raspberries if they are on offer! I start a cup of tea but often do not finish it.

I hate the smell of cooking in the morning, especially toast!

Porridge and a handful of blueberries most mornings, sometimes avocado on toast with a poached egg.

2 cups of tea in bed, then gf corn flakes with milk and sugar, occasionally gf crumpets with butter and syrup as a treat.

If we go shopping we might go to Carluccio's.

I have the same everyday as I need a lot of energy for my job. I have a 3 egg omelet with tomato . At the weekends it might be fruit and yogurt or porridge .

NanKate Sun 28-Jan-18 07:59:53

One Weetabix quarter teaspoon of half sugar, a variety of mixed chopped fruit prepared the day before, two spoonfuls of fat free yogurt and a sprinkling of seeds, a few nuts and milk. A mug of tea and a glass of water.

I occasionally have porridge that you cook for two minutes from a packet. I tried the M and S version and it gave me stomach ache. Could you porridge people tell me the make you prefer please ?

Bellasnana Sun 28-Jan-18 08:04:36

It varies. All-Bran or Weetabix with honey and milk, sometimes toast with Vegemite, usually just a cup of coffee.

I love porridge, but, contrary to the belief that it is supposed to keep you satisfied for longer, it makes me more hungry and I want biscuits with my elevenses grin
