My all time favourite treat is a Tunnocks caramel wafer biscuit! Oh the lovely chocolate and chewy sensation of the wafer inside -heavenly!

Bar of Cadbury's Dairy Milk.

Oh I would love to try Liquorice Ice Cream, that sounds divine!

Other than that my downfall is salted Caramel Ice cream, Lindor Truffles or cake wise Yorkshire Parkin which I haven't had for years now living down south!

Haagen Dazs pralines and cream ice cream smile

Scottish tablet. I used to make it but ate so much I stopped. Tablet ice cream is heavenly.

cupaffull.. Totally in agreement. Cadbury's chocolate has been ruined by the Americans. I've long stopped buying it. Disgusting stuff. Which is a real shame as whenever I used to have it I would remember my dad always saying to me as a little girl, when spending my pocket money, "always buy good chocolate, always buy Cadbury's". ? My fave chocs are salted caramel anything, custard tarts, chocolate toffees.

Turkish Delight. Have ordered a box to eat all by myself on Christmas Day

That Divine muscavado white chocolate sounds good though, Sloegin. Perhaps accompanied by a glass of your namesake. smile

Don’t they still sell Ritter Sports at motorway service stations? They always used to be by the tills. Mind you, it’s quite some time since I was at a service station. sad

Cadbury’s isn’t what it was, but I’m still partial to a sickly creme egg or six. I have embarrassingly unsophisticated taste buds and to me a single square of plain chocolate is way too worthy to be a treat.

Cake and chocolate. I love a good jam donut, and coffee and walnut cake.
It’s Cadbury’s chocolate for me, but I do like hotel chocolate as well. Actually there’s not much chocolate I don’t like.

Yes I love Ritter sport yogurt, Lidl sell it at Christmas, can’t find it otherwise. Also M & S Eccles cakes, and Greggs donuts, and anything else sweet unfortunately ?

seadragon Sat 14-Nov-20 20:52:48

Lidl's chocolate brownies!

biba70 Sat 14-Nov-20 20:25:44

Changed the recipe to be much much cheaper, and down to USA standards. Cocoa butter is so expensive compared to palm oil and tons of sugar. Sad.

I've treated myself to a tin of Quality Street for Christmas. I like Cadbury chocolate as you say the recipe has changed they can't leave anything alone. If it's not broke don't fix it. Like Nescafé lattee sachets.

Brigidsdaughter Sat 14-Nov-20 19:59:13

A pecan plait or a cream eclair

Sloegin Sat 14-Nov-20 17:59:07

Divine fair trade muscovado white chocolate, or any Divine chocolate. The fair trade premium makes a big difference to cocoa farmers in Ghana. I was fortunate to be able to visit the cocoa farm where they grow the cocoa for Divine chocolate when I went on a Traidcraft tour a couple of years ago. Sweet treat and doing some good too. Please only buy Fair trade chocolate.

Cadburys Crunchie chocolate. Not the bar, but the dairy milk slab with Crunchie bits in it. Oh and pavlova. I'm making one for Xmas Day as don't make myself one very often so it is always a treat.

Musicgirl Sat 14-Nov-20 17:47:51

Green and Black's Milk Chocolate with sea salt.

Stansgran Sat 14-Nov-20 16:56:15

Toblerone fruit and nut. But where has it gone? I can’t find it in the shops.

GrauntyHelen Sat 14-Nov-20 16:53:40

Oooh chocolate gingers

Camelotclub Sat 14-Nov-20 16:42:57

Yes carolmary
I like the mint choc ices!

Camelotclub Sat 14-Nov-20 16:39:54

I like any custardy/moussy desserts, like mousse, posset, etc. Aldi to a lovely lemon posset.

Hithere Sat 14-Nov-20 16:30:01

Vegetarian polvorones and eggnog

GrammaH Sat 14-Nov-20 16:22:04

To blow my own trumpet, I make a really delicious lemon curd ice cream & I really love it. I'm also a big chocolate fan, I'm not particularly discriminating & will eat Lidl's 30p dark chocolate bars, Seed & Bean's slighted salted, Hotel Chocolat's anything at all...basically anything chocolatey!

Gwyneth Sat 14-Nov-20 16:20:32

Midget gems but they have to be the hard ones!

sodapop Sat 14-Nov-20 15:56:04

I am in awe of the people who can eat just two squares of chocolate, I wish I had your self restraint.
