Good Morning Everyone,
Its light but is raining here in brackley.
My mystery weekend ended up in Newquay, but on Saturday we had a trip out to Cornish Gold, St Ives , and Lands End .
And coming back yesterday we stopped at Padstow, had some of Rick Steins Fish & Chips on the Harbour , expensive but melt in mouth batter which wa s crisp and crunch , haddock was just right.

Mick sounds like a great time in Cornwall, bright but raining here, another indoors day as Asthma is not so good today, good excuse to sit and read.

DH is watching back to back Grand Tours, with Clarkson et al and is laughing like a drain.

Have a good day everyone.

Greyduster Mon 02-Apr-18 10:57:00

We can take it, Maple! ?

Mapleleaf Mon 02-Apr-18 10:42:19

Sounds like you had a good time, Mick. ?

Mapleleaf Mon 02-Apr-18 10:27:43

Good morning.
Well the snow has missed us, greyduster but it is very wet! Strange how varied it can be in different parts of the same region, but its often the case in South Yorkshire.
Won't be going far today.

Good Morning all

Raining heavily here in the Black Country, but not surprising as it is a Bank Holiday Monday smile

Nothing planned except catch up on the ironing, as Partner still has to keep head down 50 minutes every hour. This is day 6 one more day to go after today!

Have a good day everyone.

jenpax Mon 02-Apr-18 09:23:01

Overcast and rainy here on the Sussex coast a day in doors I think ?

Baggs Mon 02-Apr-18 09:17:59

Morning, folks! Rain has come earlier than forecast and some of it is sleety. DD and the gee-esses have got away allright, courtesy of MrBaggs going to work at the same time, to catch their early train. I hope their journey is uneventful.

Happy days, dudes!

Good morning

Mild but wet on the South Downs

What a difference in the two halves of the country!

Mick you were near my home village when you stopped in Padstow.

Family all over for an Easter meal. So Lamb (of course). The boys most favourite pudding which is Apple sponge and mincemeat pudding with lashings of custard.Must decorate the dining room after this. Pick loads of daffodils for the table.

Nothing much else really.

Enjoy your Easter Day one and all

Good morning everyone. No snow in West Lancashire, it's raining though. The family all coming this afternoon. Will organise food and an egg hunt.
What a lovely trip Mick, I hope to get to Cornwall one day.
Have a good day everyone.

Thank you Farview, I was at a wedding last month and half the guests were stranded in London due to the snow.
I'm beginning to think I'm the opposite of a lucky charm.

farview Mon 02-Apr-18 08:44:43

Morning all, snow getting thicker by the minute here in Lancashire..take care Marydollthink it's on its way towards you,..

Greyduster Mon 02-Apr-18 08:34:02

Glad to hear the weather in Cornwall has been good, Mick. Thank you for that. DD has been sailing down there this weekend! They’ve been out of communication pretty much. Food for thought about the crops this year, though - too wet a Spring.

Auntieflo Mon 02-Apr-18 08:32:57

Woken to a grey and drizzly morning here in Berks. A heating engineer is coming today to hopefully fix our broken boiler. Oh how we miss it, especially the warm towels in the bathroom.

Weather in Cornwall was good raining going down , and started again yesterday when coming back
But noticed daffodils for faring wise wet fields plus some potato fields had been wet due to the bad weather
Gives you an idea as how crops are suffering such as spuds for the supermarket shelf

I'll look forward to the duck Kate. We were going to eat out - not sure now!

Greyduster Mon 02-Apr-18 08:23:25

Good morning and welcome back Mick! Glad you had a good trip. This morning we have - this! And it is still coming down. Any plans we had for today are on hold so we shall have to suck it and see! Have a good day folks.

loopyloo Mon 02-Apr-18 08:01:23

Good morning everyone. D'S and Dil coming over for lunch then a walk round a local lake if the weather has improved. Raining at the moment. Oh to be in England now that April's here.

Marydoll Mon 02-Apr-18 07:57:59

Good morning all, it dry, but bitterly cold here in Glasgow.
We are off to a wedding at Loch Lomond and the weather forecast is snow. sad. I hope it stays off long enough to get back safely.
I'm looking forward to catching up with old friends
Have a good Easter Monday all.

NanKate Mon 02-Apr-18 07:51:38

Morning Mick Kitty and All.

Grey and damp in South Bucks.

Your holiday sounded great Mick. No doubt you are planning another now.

I can still taste the delicious duck from yesterday I have kept you a portion Greyduster.

Nothing much planned except I must finish my book ‘the Tea Planter’s Wife’ which I came across by chance and have just loved it.

aggie Mon 02-Apr-18 07:48:25

brook2704 Mon 02-Apr-18 07:40:14

Morning everyone - we’ve woken up this morning to a light covering of snow - again !! Much to the excitement of our visitors and DGS staying with us right now ! So just getting up then coats and wellies on before heading out in the garden. Honestly the weather changes so quickly last 2 days we’ve seen gorgeous sunshine - cold but lovely for a walk if well wrapped up
Hope you all have a lovely day ⛄️

mumofmadboys Mon 02-Apr-18 07:33:41
