After over 40 years of hard work, I am lucky enough to be able to look out at this glorious view whilst chopping veg etc.

What can you see?

yggdrasil Tue 02-Jun-20 16:03:25

The road and people going up and down

From my kitchen window, my patio then 50ft lawn, very tall conifers at the bottom, the birdbath and bird table.

To the left - next-door's garage roof.

I won't bore you with the concrete sea wall ?

Fields and woods here but also sadly a neighbour in shorts which really should be consigned to the bin.

This is the view standing in my kitchen, looking through the window to the utility area and the garden beyond.
Thank you for this thread! It has prompted me to clean the kitchen window, a job which was well overdue ?

My view looking left.

This was taken a couple of years ago. Early morning autumn mist rising over the river valley.

My view right.

This has been fascinating! So many lovely views although if I looked out and saw those wood pigeons I'd probably let the dogs out...

Not because I don't like them, but because they are thieves and steal the food I put out for the smaller birds.

There used to be a pair of them that nested on the ivy at the back of my house, when it grew up to the roof. They, or thier offspring, came back each year but then I had the ivy cut back to a more manageable level and height. They got very, very confused. I used to love hearing them cooing to each other.

What a daft old bat I am!

I'm not good at uploaded photos. I can see our lovely long garden. Over the fence at the bottom I can see the canal bridge over which I can see people walking each day. To the right of the bridge there is a beautiful willow tree on the canal bank which we can see from our windows.

Sorry to lower the tone.
See the thread about window film.

The road at one end with no cars or people, just trees.
The other end similar to ginny's! but with flipping pigeons canoodling and trying to make a nest.

For a moment I wondered how ginny had got into my garden grin

We only get polythene bags, not nice bins, MissA sad

MissAdventure Thu 04-Jun-20 11:15:12

Those bins are for six families.
Not a pretty sight (or smell!) when it's coming up to bin emptying day.

Callistemon Thu 04-Jun-20 11:20:36

We have to put the bags out for collection. Leave one trace of any food on a container and the seagulls swoop, tear open the bags and spread everything all over the road.
I remember when one neighbour was using those disposable nappies for her baby and the seagulls, well, you can guess the rest.

Callistemon Thu 04-Jun-20 11:21:01

Sorry, back to lovely views!!

MattJo Thu 04-Jun-20 11:22:13

My kitchen window faces the yard wall which may not sound too interesting but the wall is covered with honeysuckle and the bees are having a wonderful time.

Pantglas2 Thu 04-Jun-20 11:38:57

My view of the recent super moon from just outside the kitchen window

shysal Thu 04-Jun-20 12:16:29

My kitchen looks out to the front. The view is of communal landscaping and the other side of the road, where at least I can see the world go by.

Knittynatter Thu 04-Jun-20 12:21:28

I love my little haven. Been here 3 and a half years and it’s still a work in progress ?

MiniMoon Thu 04-Jun-20 12:22:08

Here is my view.
