Medical negligence claim

Would like the panel's advice please.

My close childhood friend lost her beloved son in a clear case of medical negligence. Unfortunately I can't give the details as it would violate confidentiality. There were numerous instances of poor practice, and one doctor even told her they were being pressured by the managers to do this and that.

Anyway, my friend hopes that suing the people responsible will at least make them change their ways and treat OTHER patients appropriately and with dignity.

There are a plethora of medical negligence lawyers out there but she doesn't know whom to consult.

Is there a medical negligence firm that you can recommend, with a good reputation, who will fight the case and get justice for her son?

Your friend will be joining a very long queue of negligence cases the NHS is defending. Corners are being cut and mistakes are being made every day because there is not enough time to do the job properly, thousands are being harmed every year.

I would look at payouts from that trust and see who was involved. At least they will know the trust.
Not sure where this info is but it US public somewhere.

Look for someone with the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Accreditation.

I agree with Greyduster. Don't rely on anecdote. Find a law firm which specialises in clinical negligence.

As others have said, sadly, this is a daily occurence now in the NHS due to lack of funding, lack of staff and lack of government support.

My mother was very lucky she had my SiL to advocate for her in her terminal illness, although despite that, she was still in receipt of some shoddy care.

There always has been clinical negligence and there always will be. We live in a far more litigious society than ever before though.

Anyone going down this road should be aware that it’s not a quick process. It can take years to bring a case to conclusion.

Good luck, you will need it.
Yep takes years, I was involved in one as a professional witness.
Took years in the end to come to a conclusion. He didn't win.
