Another Milton Keynes meet?

Having had some really good get togethers shall we try to keep things going?
Maybe the CMK John Lewis café wasn’t the best place for first timers to identify us so how about somewhere smaller or having a table booked?
Any suggestions? Camphill has a friendly café; any other ideas?

I live in Bedford and Milton Keynes is close enough for me. I would look forward to meeting other ‘gransnetters’.

Good to hear from you Gin. I’m not sure how many of us “ watch this space” but hopefully it will be some more and also would be great to to see you at the end of November when somewhere to meet will be finalised.

I have not been to a meet-up before but would love to come along but can only meet in MK centre as reliant on public transport from Aylesbury. A date at the end of November would be good.

Hi Milton Keynes & surrounding areas
Would anyone like a meet up sometime in November. Where has the year gone?

Just found this ,is Blue Sapphire aware in Northampton of this.
There is a bus link from Brackley to MK, which terminates at Theatre bus stops, X91

That’s a busy day for me too, so will give this one a miss. Hope you have a good chatty meet.

Nannyanny Fri 28-Jun-19 16:47:53

Just to let everyone know that the meetup has been changed to Friday 5th at 10 ish Camphill cafe, hope you can make it.

Treebee Sat 22-Jun-19 22:27:31

Hey Nannyanny, thanks for taking the initiative, I’ve only just spotted this thread.
I’m Red Hatting on 1st July so not a good day for me.
But even if a couple can make it, do go for it!

NannyHill Sat 22-Jun-19 22:10:07

Love to meet up but unfortunately cannot make 1 July.

charliebrown Fri 21-Jun-19 10:15:59

I am free on the 1st July. Hope a few more can make it.

Nannyanny Fri 21-Jun-19 10:05:37

How about a meet on 1st July at Camphill.

ginny Wed 19-Jun-19 22:49:44

Sorry can’t make that as we are away until the middle of July. Hope you have a good meet up.

charliebrown Sun 16-Jun-19 08:18:21

I would like to meet up if I am free. Even if anyone finds the previous location at Camphill better that is fine by me too.

Nannyanny Thu 13-Jun-19 14:12:05

Hi there just wondering to Charlie, Gritty and others if anyone would like to meet in Debenhams cafe at the end of June. It’s central, quite spacious and handy for public transport.

charliebrown Wed 05-Jun-19 08:52:42

I really enjoyed the last meet up and would like to come along again.

grittylemon Fri 31-May-19 12:28:06

Hello. I’m interested in meeting up. Do you have a date in mind?

Nannyanny Fri 24-May-19 05:17:58

Hi there Milton Keynes ladies. Would anyone like to meet up in June. It’s been a while since our last get together.

Treebee Sun 10-Mar-19 16:03:09

Thanks Soupy, sounds delicious. I'll give it a go!

Mocha Squares Recipe

Oven 160C

8oz SR flour
2ox cocoa
8oz sugar (I use caster sugar or soft light brown sugar)
8oz butter
5oz oats (I use half oats and half dessicated coconut)

Melt the butter in a bowl or saucepan then add in dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Press down into a traybake sized tin and cook for 15 mins. It will seem puffy and soft when it comes out but don't give it any longer!

When cool mix 2oz of melted butter and a tablespoon of very strong coffee into 8oz of icing sugar and add hot water until it can be spread over the traybake.

Cut into chunks; it tastes even better the next day.

I also open freeze some slices and then pack them in a box in the freezer as it makes a lot of slices. Ideal if you're asked to take something for a party or gathering.

Very enjoyable meet up, pleasantly surprised with the cafe.
