Looking ahead - Friday morning probably ....

I shall wake up with that all too familiar lump of lead feeling in my stomach that followed Brexit and Trump. I will not have slept well but will not be hungover as champagne doesn't do that to me. I'll be at my DD's so the dgc will enliven breakfast. Then it will be a slow coming to terms with reality over the weekend as all sides spin away furiously - some with less to spin than others. I will be sad but not surprised. I will be sad about the future of education and the NHS in particular and sad for people without the cushions and choices that others have. I will be pessimistic about the Brexit negotiations and the fact that there is no hope of our becoming a kinder, more caring society. I will only watch C4 news and avoid BBC radio 4. I may just listen to R3 all weekend. I will probably avoid GN but join the bunfight on MN as it is less draining. <sighs>

Good morning. We've got a Lib Dem MP, SNP has been given notice that we don't want another referendum. All good from my point of view.
Hung parliament most likely a positive thing.

About 2 hours sleep here! I was following you lot, twitter and MN until about 4 a.m. Most exciting election for decades:-)

Didn't sleep - well I'm up every hour or so for a wee anyway. Enjoyed the fight rather like my younger days. What a silly woman- they ought to make her stay and work with the mess she's caused - but she'll be out. Boris will make a bid for the top and we'll have to go to the bother and expense of another election. Brexit delayed no doubt - less time when we get sorted to do it - Silly Silly egotistical woman!!

Apparently 72% of 18-24 year olds voted.

Paradox - population which delivered GE result not the same as those who voted for Brexit.

Farage is worried that there won't be Hard Brexit and we will try to stay in single market. He's clearly very angry. Ha ha ha!

Why does the media still interview him?

I slept well, woke up to what I predicted.

daphnedill I have no idea, he's done what he set out to do and left the mess behind.
