Boris getting tough with EU

It sounds like the gloves are off. Merkyl has now told Boris EU will never agree deal unless NI is fully within CU. Boris reply is Conservative manifesto will state we leave with no deal as new policy if EU fail to agree to his deal. He will also offer 'front of the queue deal' to any country vetoing UK Brexit delay but countries approving one will 'go to the back of the queue'. He will also refuse to negotiate any further with EU after Oct 31st. He may refuse to share our security with EU and appoint Nigel Farage as UK commissioner to EU. The great pity is our own parliament sabotaged Boris doing deal with EU by forcing him to ask for yet another useless extension on Oct 19th, costing £1 billion gross every month, so now EU think they don't need to negotiate with Boris just sit tight. Now we will most likely end up leaving with no deal.

Which was his intention all along in order to maximise the profits of his money- hungry backers!
By his deviousness, he'll also be able to blame everyone but himself.
Blatant lies and hypocrisy.

‘Money hungry backers’ hahaha! Brexit is about SO much more.

Bring it on Boris. Play some hardball (at last a real negotiator) it’s about time.

We voted to Leave. Let’s get this over the line and move on (to the next phase - but at least we can all stop talking about will we/won’t we - it’ll be done ✅

it was never down to the EU ....Boris is the one who wants to leave,He can do it under the rules or he can walkaway.Whatever he decides he will be liable for all the things we signed up ofr so the bill WILL be massive .The EU is RIGHTLY looking out ofr NI .Something it took "Britain" hundreds of years to get around to with the peace process.Any Irish people I know want to sty IN the EU like Scotland why should they be dragged out? Its time England left the EU and the rest of us who dont want to go stay in.....its logical.

newnanny Tue 08-Oct-19 10:45:50

Farage as UK commissioner to EU would be explosive. The EU hate him.

janipat Tue 08-Oct-19 10:47:57

Paddyann, why are you so disrespectful to Wales, you never seem to mention them? Wales also voted out.

newnanny Tue 08-Oct-19 10:47:58

The thing is will Hungry veto UK extension? @Paddyann Scotland had their chance with Scottish referendum but voted to stay in UK.

trisher Tue 08-Oct-19 10:52:10

Well in his imagination there is a "queue" of people waiting to do deals with the UK. In reality there are already plans afoot to remove manufacturing from this country Nissan would go for a start. Still I suppose Boris is doing what he is best at, pretending to be a strong man when really he's a cheating coniving S***.
There is something ironic about the fact that we are still embroiled in the Irish question 600 years after Henry VIII thought he'd nailed it.

newnanny Tue 08-Oct-19 10:53:52

I actually think Boris was sincere in trying to get a deal with EU that was fair to all. He was sabotaged by parliament Remainers who did not give him a fair chance to negotiate because they thought he wanted no deal when he did in fact want a deal. If no deal was still on the table EU would be less obtuse.

GracesGranMK3 Tue 08-Oct-19 10:55:04

Do you have a link to what Angela Merkel actually said - or any other people you spoke for please Newnanny?

CraftyGranny Tue 08-Oct-19 10:57:32

I thought NI and Scotland were part of the United Kingdom. What right have the EU got to snatch them from the UK. The Scottish people voted to stay in the UK did they not?
Really, after the way the EU has treated us over Brexit I can't believe anybody would want to stay. The sooner we go the better. Personally I think that more countries will follow after we leave.

gallusquine Tue 08-Oct-19 10:58:24

newnanny the Project Fear campaign told Scottish voters that the only way to guarantee staying in the EU was to vote no to Scottish Independence a blatant lies amongst other lies.

Urmstongran Tue 08-Oct-19 10:59:51

Totally agree CraftyGranny and newnanny

Even though I wanted to leave with a deal now I think no deal is inevitable. The Remainer vote is split in a GE. By having in manifesto to leave with no deal the leavers vote will not be split. Plus Labour policy is just so daft e.g. only working for 4 days each week, lowering rate of inheritance we can't give more than £125k to each child during their life time, high tax for those with gardens, forcing btl owners to sell their houses to renters at well under market value and nationalising all utilities and Post Office so forcing shareholders to sell their shares at below market prices.

Urmstongran Tue 08-Oct-19 11:02:18

Quite right gallusquine but that reassurance was given in good faith by David Cameron who in turn was so shocked by the referendum vote going against what he believed would be the outcome, that he walked away (humming to himself).

newnanny Tue 08-Oct-19 11:03:20

@gallusquine how did that work as everybody knows SNP and Nicola Sturgeon are very pro EU.

newnanny Tue 08-Oct-19 11:05:11

I suppose Labour and Lib Dems won't allow a GE now.

Urmstongran Tue 08-Oct-19 11:08:16

It gets more intransigent now, on both sides. I think it’s crunch time. A government source has said just now:

'They think now that if there is another delay we will keep coming back with new proposals,' the source told the Spectator. 'This won't happen. We'll either leave with No Deal on 31 October or there will be an election and then we will leave with No Deal.'

grapefruitpip Tue 08-Oct-19 11:08:39

Frightening times. Please don't tell me I am a doom bucket or a remoaner. I think it's terrifying. We ( ie the UK) put their trust and faith into this person.

grapefruitpip Tue 08-Oct-19 11:09:20

I wonder what tune Cameron would like to hum now.....

Urmstongran Tue 08-Oct-19 11:10:55

I voted Leave. It was on the ballot paper.

newnanny Tue 08-Oct-19 11:11:27

I think parliament will now refuse to have a GE. Boris will have to send letter requesting extension but will refuse to negotiate further with EU. I just hope we can have a GE.

mcem Tue 08-Oct-19 11:11:42

Well, well! The words 'Boris' and 'sincere' appearing in the same sentence!
Who'd a thought it??

newnanny Tue 08-Oct-19 11:13:25

I would rather leave with no deal than have to stay in.

GracesGranMK3 Tue 08-Oct-19 11:20:02

I have just seen the news and we are only hearing No 10's version. It is what they want us to believe of course or, nearly in the words of a certain lady "they would say that wouldn't they". Johnson has never wanted a deal. It was the price he paid to the ERG and Cummings for his premiership.
