Farage

Farage has trousered a lot of money from a lot of gullible people since he started his company with no accountability whatsoever.

It is rumoured that he has squirrelled the money away and it isn’t available to fund candidates standing for his company.

Q. Can a company stand in a political election?

It appears that Farage was never worried about tbe Labour Party but had to try to stop the Liberal Democrats

growstuff can't say I find Tice that enchanting, one of those bland easily forgettable faces.

growstuff Mon 11-Nov-19 19:02:52

MOnica I think the reference to the good-looking chap was to Richard Tice. Nobody in their right mind could think that Farage is good-looking.

My local paper reported that the Brexit & Co candidate was withdrawn just after 2pm today. That was a pretty quick decision! hmm

Isobel Oakshott is also one of the favorites of Brexit Broadcasting Corporation's Question Time Panel along with Farridge, Richard Tice, Camilla Tominey, Julia Hartley-Brewer, Jacob Rees Mogg, Alexandra Phillips MEP (not the Green one but the bonkers brexittey one), Mark Francois et al.

They really need to find some real people who think like the majority of UK citizens who want to STOP BREXIT.

No Firecracker they do not worry me, it is people who believe in them that worry me, and yes, my comments about Tice do contribute to the debate as they are about Farage and the Brexit Party Ltd of which Richard Tice is their high profile candidate for parliament. Isobel Oakeshott was the journalist who wrote the story about Cameron and the pig. I know that sounds like a charming children's story, but it certainly was not.

£300+ a day - he’s going to be coining it in. Although he will actually have to turn up for a few minutes, it as opposed to what he is currently doing in the EU.

Interesting about power struggle between Tice and Farage. Tice is of course Isabel Oakeshott's partner (both left their spouses to be together) - and she is up to her neck with Bank...

hmmm

Farage ^ once eloquently described as a good looking chap in an expensive suit who would charm a widow out of her life savings.^

You must be joking. yes, there are some silly and gullible widows around but the majority are far to sensible to be other than repelled by that gurning face and bloky gentleman persona (shudder).

Firecracker123 Mon 11-Nov-19 17:33:46

Well GillT57 Farage and The Brexit Party have certainly got you worried. Do you call targeting Richard Tice with your nasty comments contributing to the debate.

GillT57 Mon 11-Nov-19 17:29:08

Ah, but Jura2 the noble Farage has turned it down. Allegedly.

jura2 Mon 11-Nov-19 17:27:12

and been offered a peerage for his services sad

GillT57 Mon 11-Nov-19 17:20:45

Farage has lost Banks' support, and now owes a lot of people their £100 fees, no doubt he will wriggle out of it, ably aided by his followers who think he is some sort of messiah and 'the only honest bloke in British politics' grin. I suspect he will be cast aside soon when his apprentice, Richard Tice makes a push for leadership. Now, he is a frightening individual, once eloquently described as a good looking chap in an expensive suit who would charm a widow out of her life savings.

There are no BP members, just supporters. I’ve just heard the interview with Eddie Mair - he wouldn’t commit to refunding their money. I agree - he’s in the financial dodah.

GillT57 Mon 11-Nov-19 17:12:05

Yes MOnica 3000 people sent £100 non refundable deposit to be 'considered' as candidates. Firecracker your silly comments contribute nothing to this discussion about Farage, or are you one of his acolytes? Did you send him money?

Firecracker123 Mon 11-Nov-19 17:07:51

The Communist Party of Britain embraces Comrade Corbyn.

M0nica Mon 11-Nov-19 17:07:12

3,000? Good heavens did every member of the party want to stand?

GillT57 Mon 11-Nov-19 16:53:13

he has said he will only put up BPL candidates where there is not a standing Tory MP, thus avoiding splitting the Brexit vote. I agree about the reason though, he is a shyster and I truly am astonished at the amount of people who have been taken in by him. All of those people who sent him £100 to be 'considered' as candidates ( about 3000 of them), will they get a refund?

M0nica Mon 11-Nov-19 16:40:07

He now says that he will only put candidates up in constituencies that do not have a Conservative MP.

The logic of that escapes me, only putting candidates up in constituencies with no Conservative MP will just split the Brexit vote in those constituencies making it less likely that the Conservatives will win them.

I suspect the real reason is a lack of candidates prepared to stand and a lack of cash, now that Aaron Banks is no longer funding Farage political parties, either UKIP or the Brexit party.

GillT57 Mon 11-Nov-19 16:39:47

No firecracker it is you who is getting desperate if you are still defending this scoundrel. The Peerage offer has been reported in The Mirror, The New European and The Times. Farage has withdrawn candidates from standing in all constituencies because even by his barrel scraping standards, he must find it hard to find 600 mugs candidates prepared to pay their own way in order to enable him to claim victory. Corbyn is not a 'commie', and yes, I expect Labour, LibDems and every other party are getting desperate, and despairing, when not only are there dirty tricks afoot, no manifesto from either Brexit Party Ltd or the Tory party, but there are people daft enough to vote for they know not what.

trisher Mon 11-Nov-19 16:39:47

Oh come on Firecracker123 do you really think he's just doing it because of some high principle and he's not going to get something out of it?

Firecracker123 Mon 11-Nov-19 16:24:22

Fake news Labour must be getting desperate now and who can blame them with commie Corbyn as their leader.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 11-Nov-19 15:17:12

Farage has been offered a peerage??? (reported in Mirror and by Alistair Campbell)

Hence the “pact”

God they really do take us for fools don’t they?

That is beyond disgraceful.

Democracy à la Farage:

Don't forget the full name... THE BREXIT PARTY LIMITED Company Registration No.11694875. Only one director Nigel Paul FARAGE, who rather hilariously gives his occupation as Leader Of A Political Party.

jura2 Wed 06-Nov-19 14:58:23

So, the Leader of a 'party' which is actually a limited company- taking dodgy and illegal funding. A Leader who was not elected by anyone, and who cannot be voted out. A Leader who won't stand- and who now refuses to publish a Manifesto...

And who says that the EU is UNDEMOCRATIC - of the incredible IRONY.
