This doesn’t seem to be being discussed much do here goes

1. Black people are mentally inferior
2. Women’s sport is more comparable to the Paralympics than it is to men’s
3. Enforced long term contraception
4. The benefits of everyone modafinil once a week are ‘probably worth a dead kid once a years
5. FGM is not a serious risk to girls ‘much of the hue and cry looks more like a moral panic’

For starters.

suziewoozie Mon 17-Feb-20 16:00:40

I’m afraid you’re right trisher

Greymar Mon 17-Feb-20 16:03:12

Have you got any direct quotes please suzie? Quite unbelievable .

suziewoozie Mon 17-Feb-20 16:09:37

There’s a couple in the OP Grey I’ll try and find a link that lists them all

Nortsat46 Mon 17-Feb-20 16:12:46

I keep saying I am speechless... and then Cummings and his cabal say or do something else and I find myself ‘even more’ speechless ...

I can’t even muster up a sensible comment ...

suziewoozie Mon 17-Feb-20 16:14:12

Here’s a good collection ( via Sky news)

Pregnancies, drugs, Muslims and FGM - Number 10 adviser's alleged past comments:

"There are excellent reasons to think the very real racial differences in intelligence are significantly - even mostly - genetic in origin, though the degree is of course a very serious subject of scholarly debate." Online comment from January 2014.
"One way to get around the problems of unplanned pregnancies creating a permanent underclass would be to legally enforce universal uptake of long-term contraception at the onset of puberty" A comment on Dominic Cummings' blog from August 2014.
"From a societal perspective the benefits of giving everyone modafinil once a week are probably worth a dead kid once a year." A Schools Week interview in July 2016.
"Eugenics are about selecting 'for' good things... Intelligence is largely inherited and it correlates with better outcomes: physical health, income, lower mental illness. There is no downside to having IQ except short-sightedness." The same Schools Week interview, July 2016.
"Will institutionalized power-sharing (as in Northern Ireland) become the norm in the West - not between Catholic and Protestant, but between Muslim and non-Muslim (by around 2050 Britain is forecast to be a majority Islamic nation on current birthrate trends)?" As part of a book review from February 2014.
"...you will see a far greater percentage of blacks than whites in the range of IQs 75 or below, at which point we are close to the typical boundary for mild mental retardation." An online comment from January 2014.
"It is still unclear to what extent FGM represents a serious risk to young girls, raised in the UK, of certain minority group origins. Much of the hue and cry looks more like a moral panic." An online comment from July 2014.
"Individual differences in intelligence and academic outcomes are largely a result of genes, not environments." A paper published online.
"I am always straight up in saying that women's sport is more comparable to the Paralympics than it is to men's" A Twitter post from May last year.

Words fail.

I don't know if you read the twitter link I posted earlier but here is another quote about Sabisky from Dr. Rutherford's thread:

His presence at the Intelligence conference held on UCL grounds is problematic, as it is mostly attended by scientifically semi-literate cranks, actual white supremacists, and utter fools, whose self style heretical pose masks not just weirdness, but ignorance and bigotry

I was brought up Anglo-Catholic. I don't recall homophobia, white supremacy and misogyny forming any part of the churches teaching. In fact, though I'm no longer a 'believer' I find the basic principle of 'love thy neighbour' quite splendid and worth trying to live by.

Thinking about long term contraception has reminded me of Germaine Greer's idea that the best way would be to allow adolescent males to donate and store sperm then give them all a vasectomy. When someone wanted a child they would use the stored sperm. Wonder what BJ, DC and AS would think about that!!!

SirChenjin Mon 17-Feb-20 16:50:16

That’s the sort of person the Tories are recruiting.

How does it make their voters on here feel, I wonder?

varian Mon 17-Feb-20 16:51:07

Cummings said he wanted to recruit "weirdos and misfits"

This Andrew Sabisky, who sounds appalling, may not even be the weirdest of Cummings little band of unelected officials with huge power without accountability.

Perhaps the purpose of the weirdos is not just to reinforce Cummings influence, but to make him appear relatively normal. Another diversionary tactic.

SirChenjin Mon 17-Feb-20 16:55:31

Or to start testing the water perhaps, to see just what they can get away with under the heading of ‘acceptable’ in order to build their policies around what’s most likely to retain and increase their vote share?

MaizieD Mon 17-Feb-20 16:59:23

Our known tory voters are keeping very quiet. Is this what they voted for?

SirChenjin Mon 17-Feb-20 17:01:53

Yes, I had noticed the deafening silence.

Greymar Mon 17-Feb-20 17:12:06

Am I going completely crazy? This person is aged 27 is advising the government and believes(amongst other things) that black people are unintelligent and people who claim benefit should be sterilised

GrannyGravy13 Mon 17-Feb-20 17:19:34

I assume he answered the advert for young and quirky researchers?

Definitely not the Conservatives finest hour.

suziewoozie Mon 17-Feb-20 17:21:08

Yes seems so GG wasn’t the word ‘weirdo’?

POGS Mon 17-Feb-20 17:22:35

Never heard of him but I certainly will do research.

Certainly by suziewoozie posts he sounds a s**t

Greymar Mon 17-Feb-20 17:23:39

I can do weird and quirky but I'm a silly old woman.

Roses Mon 17-Feb-20 17:25:20

Are you sure his name is Andrew or is it Adolf

Greta Mon 17-Feb-20 18:03:05

I hope more than one conservative MP will speak out. But if the conservative party is happy to advertise for weirdos and misfits what can we expect? It's like a sit-com. Entertaining as long as you can just switch it off.

MaizieD Mon 17-Feb-20 18:33:46

There was this, posted on twitter a couple of days ago:

Alex Wickham
@alexwickham

NEW: Have spoken to multiple special advisers who say they and their cabinet ministers will refuse to work with Andrew Sabisky

— they won’t attend meetings where he is present or respond to his emails
— they will tell Boris Johnson to overrule Dominic Cummings and sack Sabisky

Whether they find their backbones when it comes to it is a different matter.

SueDonim Mon 17-Feb-20 19:11:42

He sounds a charmer. hmm

suziewoozie Mon 17-Feb-20 19:15:48

Tory supporters on GN in general worship BJ and all his works so the majority will have little to say. I expect some of them are fine anyway with eugenics, misogyny, ableism snd racism

Nezumi65 Mon 17-Feb-20 19:26:20

Why are moderate Tories keeping quiet? Surely they cannot be happy that their party is recruiting eugenicists? (And yes I know that DC is not officially a Tory but he is setting Tory policy more than anyone).

suziewoozie Mon 17-Feb-20 19:29:17

Today’s Tory party is a cult
