Tomorrow's newspapers will have images in showing Johnson hosting a quiz at one of the Christmas parties that never was.

bikergran Sun 12-Dec-21 07:57:54

Well whoever took the photo, Johnson must know who it is, I would remember who was sat almost opposite me at quiz.

I agree with you Kim19 the picture shows him hosting a Christmas quiz with two work colleagues wearing tinsel etc how many millions hosted quizzes and Christmas jumper parties virtually I know we did. I’m no defender of the government at the moment but on this occasion it doesn’t look like big news to me. Someone is definately out to get him and I agree they should show themselves. I bet Dominic Cummings is loving this.

I too was part of a Christmas quiz with the team I work with in, us in one room, other teams in others rooms, plus those working from home. Bit of team bonding for a group of Hospital professionals who had worked there socks off all year.

Theresa May seems good compared to the current incumbent.

Nobody seemed to think so when she actually was in office.

Who would ever want to be Prime Minster?

Someone with competence, integrity and intelligence. Someone who keeps the best interests of the nation as the main focus.
Someone that can be trusted and truthful.

Good qualities I would have thought.

Good answer WWM2, and yes I've mentioned Teresa May a couple of times here recently.

My problem with it is you can't even scratch your nose and someone gets a flippin' photo as evidence. But then liars do that a lot.

Galaxy Sun 12-Dec-21 08:11:18

I didnt agree with Theresa May on many things but she is an example of in my view a 'traditional' conservative. I might not agree with the policies but as an individual she had some qualities that were suitable for the office of PM. I thought she was treated poorly by many in her party but that is the fate of most PMs and Johnson will be no different in that respect.

It's a screengrab.

Kandinsky Sun 12-Dec-21 08:25:11

Problem is, even if there was an election tomorrow the tories would still win it.
And Boris knows that.

Galaxy Sun 12-Dec-21 08:30:25

I am not sure. And it doesnt matter what Johnson 'knows' it matters what the rest of the party believes. And if they believe they are more likely to win with a different leader then he will be gone.

But May put holding the tory party together before doing what was right for the country. She sowed the seeds of the disaster we have now.

Polling now has Labour ahead of the tories and about 60% of the electorate highly dissatisfied with Johnson.

Not sure what your confidence is based on.

Grandmagrim Sun 12-Dec-21 08:34:29

People knew boris was a liar and just didnt care, they still voted for him. Dribs and drabs of evidence won’t convict him in the eyes of some and even if he were to go they would still vote for his party of liars. There are enough people, sadly, who see boris and his ilk as just like them and will continue to vote for a them because doing so justifies their own behaviours and view point of self first.

Casdon Sun 12-Dec-21 08:34:55

According to all the polls you’d be wrong there Kandinsky.

I do think this is coming from within the Tory Party, it’s ridiculous to blame the BBC, who weren’t the first to report any of these stories this week.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 12-Dec-21 08:39:22

Johnson raged that the BBC should be concentrating on the booster roll out.

Bit rich when even the Health minister refused to return up on any media to tell people to get boosted.

BlueBelle Sun 12-Dec-21 08:39:57

Teresa may only seems good now because of the shallow lying muppet that followed her

ShazzaKanazza Sun 12-Dec-21 09:16:07

That looks like a scarf in the top left hand corner covering something or a very high coat rack lol

Witzend Sun 12-Dec-21 09:20:16

Shades of FU in House of Cards. (The original.). Acquiring and keeping damning evidence to bring out at the optimum time.

Which of them has their beady eye on the top job?

Lincslass Sun 12-Dec-21 09:25:11

Just watching Marr, who really won’t let Starmer, who is not giving in to him. Starmer is absolutely spot on with what he is saying, and not being drawn in to Marrs divisive questioning. Will be glad when he’s gone.

Lincslass Sun 12-Dec-21 09:25:34

Marr that is.

TillyTrotter Sun 12-Dec-21 09:26:23

Oh Grandmagrim I wish it wasn’t so, but what you see is precisely what I see. ?

Juliet27 Sun 12-Dec-21 09:35:15

It’s a wonder we haven’t seen Boris spouting ‘fake news’.

Lucca Sun 12-Dec-21 09:40:31

I think this is the Remainer BBC having a go at Boris.

??classic.

Chewbacca Sun 12-Dec-21 09:50:55

I just wish he'd do the decent thing, for once in his life, and go. He hasn't got an ounce of credibility left and no one can believe a word that comes out of his mouth.

25Avalon Sun 12-Dec-21 09:51:28

“He needs to comply and be seen to comply with the rules, however tedious and detailed” said Conservative MP Steve Baker. He added that they needed to sort it out and it could not go on for much longer. I agree. It’s the night of the long knives for Boris. It was always my opinion that the Tory party would ditch him within 6 months of Brexit. Covid altered the time line.

MaizieD Sun 12-Dec-21 10:08:12

The rumour about the cctv camera being hidden is unjustified . What you can see is a curtain swag.

Much as I detest him I will give the man his due. All his lying and rule breaking is done in full view grin

GrannyGravy13 Sun 12-Dec-21 10:10:57

Well if this screen-grab is of a zoom quiz, and it is found to be against Covid regulations there are going to be an awful lot of folks in the U.K. guilty also, including many on GN…
