Always bashing certain members of the royal family and going on as if only their views can be the correct ones.

The ones who think they can own other human beings.

The ones who expect a person, just because they happen to be royal, to have no entitlement to any normal human feelings.

I wonder how perfect they are in their own lives.

I also wonder how they get their mountains of inside knowledge of the royal family, and how they can be sure of its accuracy.

hmm

It is not only on matters pertaining to the RD that we have whinging GN's.
I find a few, but won't elaborate.

WadesNan Sat 19-Oct-19 19:36:57

Oh dear, has everyone been at the wine already grin

merlotgran Sat 19-Oct-19 19:43:02

I wish!

DH is on antibiotics so I have to be a good girl. grin

annsixty Sat 19-Oct-19 19:44:21

Actually yes.??
Just sometimes it is necessary so we don't feel the need to whinge!!

WadesNan Sat 19-Oct-19 19:45:01

You have my sympathies merlotgran wine

merlotgran Sat 19-Oct-19 19:49:55

Don't worry. He goes to bed early and I have a secret stash. grin

WadesNan Sat 19-Oct-19 19:53:45

I just have to clear the kitchen after dinner and then I will crack open a bottle (Merlot by the way!)

annsixty Sat 19-Oct-19 20:10:11

It was Shiraz here and I do very often feel the need.
When we have had difficult times, we need an outlet, we can bore people with our woes, we can whinge on here or we can have a few glasses of wine and not bother anyone else.
I know what I prefer to do.

SirChenjin Sat 19-Oct-19 20:10:11

I’ve just had a glass of Merlot with my artichoke and olive pizza and very nice it was too wine

merlotgran Sat 19-Oct-19 20:16:55

Sigh wine

Jane10 Sat 19-Oct-19 20:24:50

Whinging seems like a moany sort of word somehow. I sometimes feel like a good old rant. Maybe in capitals or even bold? Not sure which would be best. My emojis don't seem to capture it somehow. Hold on. I'll have a go ? ?- ?!!
What do you think?

SirChenjin Sat 19-Oct-19 20:39:17

Can’t beat a good old rant Jane10, I’m with you there.

Like your emojis - good choice ?

I like ??? - sums up the utter frustration I often feel before I start to rant at the nonsense I’ve heard or seen.

Paddyann the SNP supporter taking photos of the Royal Family!! Ha, ha thats a good one. In the words of Victor Meldrew " I don't believe it". Lol.grin

Namsnanny Sun 20-Oct-19 00:27:32

Look, I'm not criticising, or moaning or even whinging, but...………..surely this is under the wrong heading??

I mean, people will become confused if there isn't order.

Or: punc,tu:ation;
Or spolllin
Or gram-mar
Or

paragraffs.
Or threads about threads.OrthreadsaboutUgboots.

Far be it for me to dictate suggest this, being a relative newby an' all, but shouldn't we re assess the categories on here?

There are generally things we AGREE with and things WE don't.

So perhaps we could narrow it down to only two?

Maybe called:

Pollyanna's and Grumpy Grannies!

For example, one day Brexit could be under the Pollyanna heading and if I'm feeling optimistic I can post stuff like,
'isn't Brexit coming along fine? Or 'Boris really has tidy hair' etc.

Someone else could put Brexit under Grumpy Grannies, and reply
"NO IT F!*K%@G ISNT!!"
and
"I WILL CUT HIS STUPID HAIR OFF IF HE DOESN'T SHUT HIS STUPID MOUTH!!"

Or something similar.grin
Perfect!

Doesn't matter what the subject is, each day its categorised under one of the two headings.
Simples!!

More entertaining than slanging matches that go nowhere and get pulled.
What do you think?

wink

Joelsnan Sun 20-Oct-19 00:48:30

Tried that Namsnanny, but the grumpy grannies keep hijacking the Pollyanna threads.

Namsnanny Sun 20-Oct-19 03:02:28

Aaaww Joelsnan ….You found the fly in my ointment!!grin

Callistemon Sun 20-Oct-19 04:26:30

merlot do you mean to say that you aren't drinking because your DH is on antibiotics shock?

I would say 'oh dear, love, all the more for me!' grin

Callistemon Sun 20-Oct-19 04:31:12

Oh! I see you have a secret stash grin

I won't tell anyone.

Callistemon Sun 20-Oct-19 04:33:40

At the risk of being called a whinger - hasn't whingeing got an 'e' in it?

Jane10 Sun 20-Oct-19 07:06:36

I thought that too

Peonyrose Sun 20-Oct-19 07:34:04

I have skyways had a very soft spot for Harry and William, I remember feeling gutted seeing them having to look at those flowers in public and walking behind the coffin. Absolute disgrace. I'm far from perfect but as a grandmother I wouldn't have allowed it, no way. I do however, Harry made an unfortunate choice with Megan, I always thought she would break his heart. I look away now even he is on tv, his heart on his sleeve, constantly bringing up his mother and memories, he looks haunted. He is not a contented man.
