Tights, forgotten how uncomfortable they are!

Tights are the devil's work and one of the reasons why trousers/jeans are now so popular with women. Imo

JaneJudge if he sat admiring the flowers in that get up where I live he wouldn’t be safe.

I don't think it really matters as long as he is wearing underwear or clothing that covers the crotch area if not

Used to work for Wolford tights. Best job ever, not to mention the freebie tights and better still the clothes. We often had a fashion show in the office. I still buy their tights in Selfridges sale as they last a minimum of five years. I was in charge of complaints and people sent back crumpled tights obviously over 20 years old.

Wolford tights were the best ever!
I used to have loadsa tights in different colours.I have opposite probs to OP in that I’m thin and tights wrinkle and don’t stay up well these days.Tend to wear jeggings and leggings and socks now.

I Hate Tights ,if i had to wear them then it would only be Sheer Tan colour ..But i just stay bare legged ..My daughter wears those Thick Black Tights ..Opaque's you call them ..? all the time ..100 Denier !! Horrid !! although i do find good use for them , she hands them over to me , i cut them up and use them as long length strings to tie up my bin bags ..i can really pull tight the string which compresses the bin bag allowing me more room in the main Bin to put more rubbish in.

I don’t like my legs at all and I have big flat feet as well ?so I live in jeans and trousers,the last time I wore a dress was at my daughters wedding six years ago and that was a long dress not worn one since. Anyway I have no need for tights or stockings just wear socks… I think the last time I wore tights would’ve been in the 1980s…

well MissChateline the wedding is on Saturday so I don't think she has much choice other than having to chop her own legs off. It has been ignored for years that women have been getting taller. Tights are ill designed at best, as are bras

You need a size larger, I think, if you're over 5'5"

As far as I remember - I really dislike the blooming things.

I agree with Shelflife. I used to wear a light control panty girdle over tights and ordinary pants underneath.

I wear trousers all the time ! Or if really necessary a maxi skirt. If you must wear tights Lizbethann do go for the knickers on top - it helps .

I love wearing tights, having grown up in the era of stockings and suspenders, even panty girdles. My first pair of nylon tights cost nineteen shillings and eleven pence, and I treasured them.
I have been wearing thick woolly tights under baggy jumpers and skirts or woolly dresses and boots this winter ; very snug.

Probably been suggested but hold ups work, just don't put body lotion on your legs before you wear them!

Or do the school girl trick of putting some 'hold all the 'extra' bits in' knickers over the top! That stops the sliding down and holds any wobbly bits in too!

I need to wear tights because they hold all my wobbly bits in. I suppose that’s why they’re called tights.

Oh my goodness Boyzone my legs are the farthest thing from beautiful or unblemished, they are blemished and then some but tights etc are uncomfortable and If people dont like how my legs look they can just look at something else

Agree, my legs are a long way off perfect, so long skirts or trousers in summer, but get my shorter skirts and dresses out in winter with M&S Autograph cotton tights which are amazingly comfortable and don’t give your legs the creepy feeling that some tights do !

Wear long skirts/dresses and fake the tan! Or , wear trousers .I either wear maxi length or pants, I haven't worn tights for 15 years Since I gave up work. Maxi can be extremely elegant and tights at so last century!
