I thought she looked great today, particularly in the line up of much younger ladies. Shallow, I know , but that's what I think.

Also it must be odd seeing your husband in a velvet cloak and some sort of 16th century head wear.

She always looks elegant but not showy

Alima Mon 17-Jun-19 19:47:17

I like the way she always appears to be stifling laughter. Must have a grand sense of the ridiculous, this time probably directed at the headgear her beloved was sporting.

merlotgran Mon 17-Jun-19 20:00:11

Yes. Camilla looked elegant. I love her hat.

I too think she has a good sense of humour. She always strikes me as a down to earth sort of person.

Callistemon Mon 17-Jun-19 20:32:06

why was he in a velvet cloak?

Not a remake of It's a Royal Knockout, surely?

Actually, I do like Camilla's style and think that she probably has a great sense of the ridiculous!

It’s what is worn every year , Order of The Garter

Callistemon Mon 17-Jun-19 20:41:47

How did I miss it? shock

Callistemon Mon 17-Jun-19 20:45:06

I do like a bit of tradition, Elvive!

BlueBelle Mon 17-Jun-19 20:59:31

I think she’s great always looks nice never hogs the limelight and is good for him ( I think) ??

Sara65 Mon 17-Jun-19 20:59:35

She always looks lovely, she’s definitely one of my favourite Royals

Anniebach Mon 17-Jun-19 21:04:02

I think she should be queen consort when the time comes but some of the public are still against it.

I think she looks usually good, she knows what suits her.

We met her a few years ago at a naval medal ceremony after my son returned from Afghanistan. She was really warm, genuine and easy to chat to, just very normal and interested and kind. I liked her more than I thought I would.

I usually love how she looks but she seemed to have an issue with a white dress she was wearing when the Trumps were here - she seemed to keep trying to smooth it down. I thought that dress was very frumpy too.

shysal Tue 18-Jun-19 09:31:12

She often wears pale colours. I would like to see her in something a bit brighter for a change.

merlotgran Tue 18-Jun-19 09:43:14

Yes. shysal, she looks better in the winter when she wears brown, olive green, tweed etc. She's a country gel and very pale colours don't suit her.

I don't think they suit the younger members either, especially in a whole line up of them.

Anniebach Tue 18-Jun-19 09:50:13

Two in the line up were not Windsors

merlotgran Tue 18-Jun-19 09:59:47

I didn't say they were.

Anniebach Tue 18-Jun-19 10:03:25

Sorry Merlot you said ‘the younger members ‘ I thought you meant family members.

EllanVannin Tue 18-Jun-19 10:08:42

I've always liked Camilla, even when there were cruel outcries about her forthcoming marriage to Charles. I visited a charity shop in those early days of their marriage and bought a lovely Wedgewood plate of their wedding-----it cost £1.50 ! A sad reflection on what most of the general public felt at the time.

I imagine that she's the easiest member of the family to get along with.

Anniebach Tue 18-Jun-19 10:11:24

She certainly had years of hatred to cope with, she never went to the media

b1zzle Tue 18-Jun-19 10:13:45

Love Camilla. She's like a breath of fresh air in what can sometimes be perceived to be a very stuffy royal family .

luluaugust Tue 18-Jun-19 10:15:30

Any chance she could bring out a clothing line for the over 70's!!!

Calendargirl Tue 18-Jun-19 10:19:35

Whatever you think about the Royal Family, Charles, Camilla, Diana etc. I think no one can doubt how good she has been for Charles. He seems a different person since she has been a legitimate part of his life, and they just seem to adore each other.
