Someone mentioned the new BBC thriller ‘Hidden’ starting this week. It is on BBC4 Saturday at 9 - but it is on BBC1 Wales tomorrow (Wednesday) at 9pm.

callgirl1 Tue 05-Jun-18 22:22:42

I like the look of this, but is it in English or Welsh?

Welshwife Tue 05-Jun-18 22:50:50

BBC4 will be English - when anything is in Welsh it is normally on S4C. I will however check up!

Welshwife Tue 05-Jun-18 22:56:26

Looking at the info the Welsh language version will be shown on BBC4 immediately prior to the English language version on Saturday evening - so don’t think you have it all wrong if you turn on a bit early!

callgirl1 Tue 05-Jun-18 23:48:00

Thank you Welshwife. I`ll be recording it, there`ll be a row if daughter can`t watch Casualty!

Anniebach Thu 07-Jun-18 10:48:19

Part English part Welsh with sub titles

lemongrove Thu 07-Jun-18 12:01:43

I have recorded this to watch....in English.
I once turned on (by mistake) a Welsh channel and thought I had gone bonkers for a second or two as I couldn’t understand a word.?

Anniebach Thu 07-Jun-18 12:11:54

If it’s the same Saturday as last night it will be English and Welsh, doubt the BBC made three series , Welsh only for S4C, Welsh and English for BBC Wales and English only for general release on Saturday

lemongrove Thu 07-Jun-18 12:15:18

Ah, I see Annie the characters speak in both languages throughout the drama, as they would in real life, and there are subtititles for the Welsh parts?

Anniebach Thu 07-Jun-18 12:23:34

Yes lemon, mostly in English but some Welsh conversations with sub titles . I watched it last night, doubt I will watch the series because a name in it was my elder daughter’s shortened name, as it is not a name usually used it started me. The bleak North Wales scenery is beautiful ?

I've been loving this and tonight's episode was a cracker.

I've also been learning Welsh. I now know that yard scrap is Welsh for scrapyard. grin

seacliff Sun 22-Jul-18 19:27:14

Yes I've just watched last nights, sooo good.

BlueBelle Sun 22-Jul-18 20:44:50

I have to wait till it’s on iplayer to see the last one it’s not showing yet but thoroughly enjoyed it The one and only downside was the darkness even in rooms with electric lights on it was so dark but he storyline and acting was good

seacliff Mon 23-Jul-18 11:23:27

Yes Bluebelle, you really have to peer at the screen sometimes. I suppose it's all part of the atmosphere.

NanKate Sun 29-Jul-18 11:38:03

I found episode 1 rather depressing and dark, literally, but on your recommendation I will try episode 2.

seacliff Sun 29-Jul-18 11:56:02

It grew on me NanKate. It IS dark and depressing but I want to know what happens. Hope you get hooked too.

Pittcity Sun 29-Jul-18 12:14:07

Thanks again Gners for a new TV recommendation. Now that it's raining we will put the iplayer on.

merlotgran Sun 29-Jul-18 12:28:13

Great ending!

BlueBelle Sun 29-Jul-18 13:11:12

I enjoyed that. The mother played a blinder when they were interviewing her
Now I’m into Unforgotten

merlotgran Sun 29-Jul-18 13:14:27

I think I'll give Unforgotten a go this afternoon. DH will be watching sport and it's too windy to be outside.

NanKate Sun 29-Jul-18 21:26:46

Thanks Seacliff I am about to start episode 4, I’m hooked ?

lemongrove Sun 29-Jul-18 21:31:27

Just watched the last episode this evening, such good acting from Rhoddri ? He plays Dylan.
I won’t do any spoilers.

Auntieflo Sun 29-Jul-18 23:15:34

What about the poor chap who has been in prison for years?

Sheena Mon 30-Jul-18 17:12:07

Brilliant series.. I've just watched the last episode ... great stuff... and I agree Auntieflo , I thought the same hmm

POGS Mon 30-Jul-18 20:26:32

I thought it was a well worth a watch and I thought the best actor was the mother, what a piece of work.
