Marydoll Tue 07-May-19 23:26:23

Assolutamente no!!!!!?

Marydoll Tue 07-May-19 23:29:28

Il vecchio Montalbano è molto più sexy ??

BlueSky Tue 07-May-19 23:32:01

I don't mind either of them! But the older one is sexier! grin

So I'm not the only one with a passion for the Inspector.

I always feel a bit strange admitting this as he looks very
like my younger son.

He's out on DVD too (so to speak) that's Inspector Montalbano, not my son smile

Super! Did you know Luca Zingaretti’s brother is a politician?

Perhaps not quite as sexy as his brother.....I hope there are lots of shots of Montalbano swimming.

Deedaa Wed 08-May-19 21:54:45

Ooh yes! Lots of swimming grin

LullyDully Thu 09-May-19 08:10:38

Look forward to it very much, young one or older one. My problem is concentrating on the subtitles that late, but I struggle on, moonas he is worth it. I wish it started at 8.00.

Nannylovesshopping Thu 09-May-19 09:07:25

When is it on please?

jura2 Sun 19-May-19 15:09:45

Montalbano is the reason we first visited Sicily - and all the sites smile Been 5 times now - and recognising the places makes it even better.

3 years ago we went to 'Vigata' and there was read and white tape stopping us- so we parked a bit further and walked around the town to get to the lighthouse ... and there he was, in his swimsuit, in the middle of a filming session. Still have not seen that episode ... let's hope.

Back tomorrow on BBC4!

Nannylovesshopping Fri 31-May-19 22:19:55

Deedaa thank you?

MiniMoon Sat 01-Jun-19 00:08:53

Ooh, Montalbano. ??

Auntieflo Sat 01-Jun-19 08:27:27

What is it with this little, balding, bandy legged Italian, that we all love? Yes, me too !

JessK Sat 01-Jun-19 09:53:57

It's that Italian sex appeal! Wonderful programme.

Can anyone tell me why the roads are always empty! They must clear them for filming. Every time we’ve been the roads are like hell??.

Very fond of Sicily though.

Hertsbet Sun 02-Jun-19 18:53:16

Not watched this before but thought I'd would as it has good reports. Am hooked!

jura2 Sun 02-Jun-19 18:57:16

Wow- watched last night, and there was the scene with him in his swimsuit at Punta Secca (Viggata) - they were practising the scene carrying a sack- had no idea it would be a dead body in the actual episode.

We get very excited as we watch because we have visited all the locations shown- so it feels quite different once you know the area.

When I joined GN a few years ago, I asked if anyone else liked Montalbano......did they ever!grin
I have the dvd’s so often watch them, it’s like taking a little holiday.

Have you read any of the books too lemon?

We rented a great villa near Scicli - 3 villas for 6 people each in a lovely plot just inland with a fabulous view of the old factory, with a pool. Highly recommended.

lemongrove Sun 02-Jun-19 19:03:39

Yes, I have but prefer the filmed versions.Seeing the places and people is more satisfying.
I am in awe of the eating and drinking, actors always say it’s difficult ( when did you see Morse tucking into a plate of anything?)
