Don't know if this will work. Made me laugh. Sent from my American pen friend. Trump and Clinton singing Time of my Life...clever

Rinouchka Tue 11-Oct-16 14:17:27

Don't know if my posting of image of Trump feeling up Lady Liberty will work, but it does sum up the man....God Help America!

Sheilasue Tue 11-Oct-16 14:59:08

I agree awful man

nannypink1 Tue 11-Oct-16 15:06:41

It does make you wonder......are Trump n Clinton the best America can offer Dear God

grumppa Tue 11-Oct-16 15:10:42

Horror moment on lunchtime news. Thought I saw Trump with the Duchess of Cambridge. Turned out to be the King of the Netherlands, and no, he isn't a van Tromp.

Blinko Tue 11-Oct-16 17:23:21

Trump with the King of the Netherlands...?

nigglynellie Tue 11-Oct-16 17:45:48

The king of the Netherlands doesn't look even remotely like Donald Trump!! Time for spec savers?!!!

Sheilasue Tue 11-Oct-16 18:59:01

At least we have more than two parties even though some of them are idiots

Faye Tue 11-Oct-16 21:39:56

Yesterday I watched this film -- link for Clinton Cash -- and even though I had previously read about the Clintons being corrupt, I was shocked. I can now understand why many Americans are voting for Trump.

I could never vote for the buffoon Trump but I would be less likely to vote for Hilary!

Faye Tue 11-Oct-16 21:55:56

This is more like it! Trump singing to Hilary

durhamjen Tue 11-Oct-16 22:02:17

Believe it or not the Americans have another two parties, another two candidates in this race.

dramatictessa Tue 11-Oct-16 23:11:16

Completely missed that, dj. Who are they, and do they have any chance of winning?

durhamjen Tue 11-Oct-16 23:36:54

Probably no chance at all of winning. There's Jill Stein of the Green Party, and Gary Johnson of the Libertarian party.
They never get mentioned, do they?

durhamjen Tue 11-Oct-16 23:42:55

Jill Stein stood in 2012 and holds the record for the greatest number of votes gained by a woman standing for president.
I think that record might be beaten this year.

Faye I wouldn't believe anything I saw on breibart.com. It is so right wing it makes our Tory right wing look like beginners. I'm not saying Hillary Clinton is an angel, but I would question the accuracy of anything Breibart says about her.

There are other candidates, but as far as I'm concerned, in this election a vote for any of them is a vote that could stop Trump being elected. She's the lesser of two evils (by far IMHO), so my vote would be for Hillary.

Iam64 Wed 12-Oct-16 20:31:38

The US tv coverage does mention the Green and Libertarian candidates, they also get a reasonable amount of air time.

The TV coverage in the US is 24/7, wall to wall on the presidential election campaign. Hilary may not be perfect, who is? She has to be a safer pair of hands than Trump who is the nightmare candidate. Someone with his temperament and attitudes is not fit to be the POTUS. I'm with Wilma on this one, Hilary is the lesser of two evils by a long way, than the Trump is. Voting for the Greens or the Libertarians would be a wasted vote and also, risk allowing Trump to be president. The Libertarian candidate was asked his view on the Syrian war, especially on Allepo. His response? "What is an Alepo" - Hilary for President

aggie Wed 12-Oct-16 20:39:45

There have been a few , less than lily white , Presidents of The USA but these two take the medal !

Eloethan Wed 12-Oct-16 20:57:02

I think they're both ghastly. I'm glad I don't live in America.

Iam64 Wed 12-Oct-16 20:59:00

Maybe so Eloethan but here in the Uk and the rest of Europe some difficult to understand political decisions and leaders are centre stage.
I'm glad I don't live in America and feel for friends who do and are living through what they see as the most embarrassing presidential campaign ever.
