What's your favourite film?

Pompa husband and I thoroughly enjoyed that film too.

I watched Zulu, for the first time, last week. I knew the film covered an episode during which a small number of Brits held off a large number of Zulu's and always avoided watching it because I felt it may offend my sensibilities.

I was gripped and terrified in equal measure. I still feel uncomfortable about reluctantly admiring the heroism of the small band of Welsh fusileers whilst identifying with the anger of the Zulu's. Complex or what? No doubt that's why it's still shown on the movie channels.

The alternative option that evening was The Outlaw Josie Wales which I wished I'd watched, again!

True Grit is my favourite film. I love both the original and the remake. Master and Commander runs a close second.

The Hunt for Red October has to be my top choice followed by any of the Ice Age or Shrek films.

Another one here who just doesn't get all the fuss about I'ts a Wonderful Life. Too cheesy for me.

The Lion in Winter; the Hepburn O'Toole one, not the one with Patrick Stewart and Glenn Close. Wonderful film, wonderful sound track by John Barry. Treated myself to a DVD of it this Christmas.

What's Up Doc?, Keeping Mum, Where Eagles Dare, Sergeant Bilko, St Trinian's (the 4 original ones), When Harry Met Sally, Thoroughly Modern Millie. Not in any particular order, but these are all films which, when I finish watching them, I want to start again.

Saw Into the Woods last weekend with granddaughters. Thought it very good and interesting to see the twists that turn fairytales into real life. However, it is also a big stagey which means you could wait and watch it on telly.

Same GD's are taking me to see Shaun the Sheep this weekend. Can't wait.

Shaun the Sheep has had rave reviews hasn't it. No dialogue I believe ....

The Theory of Everything. Magnificent acting !

It must be clingfilm, judging by the number of times I've seen it.

I went to see shaun the sheep on Sunday with my friend and her GD.It was very funny in parts, and it warmed my heart to hear all the young children in the cinema gurgling and laughing.

DH and I took GS to see Sean the Sheep yesterday. GS and I thought it was very funny but Grandad was not that impressed and he's the big Sean the Sheep fan.
