Wow smileless safe journey and loads fun!

Yogagirl we not even sending little ones pressys this Xmas 6 years of loads pressies for little ones and gift tokens including 2 Gra daughters. NEver met, that we decided after last rejection and Tor locking door In her dad's face no more!

Never once had courtesy of thank you. I hate not sending for little ones but will send mollie birthday present. I can never ever forget the joy I felt when I held her In My arms as newborn.

Smileless you could try a support group on Facebook a private closed group I belong to one, and with poem like that shame to waste your talents.

Esther took up cause but seems petered out now.

msmac Thu 02-Oct-14 13:38:45

Celegran- thank you for your kind words, I am sorry to hear about your problems.
I know the feeling though, my husband and I used to do whatever we could for our son and family. Then when we stopped, our dil took our gs away. We still tried with him, but it has been on and off again for two years now. I haven't seen him for over a month, most here have it worse.
Please see if this makes time goes by, you start to heal, just a little. You never loose the love for your gc. But, I find that the yo yo effect of now you can see him and now you can't is so very hard. Your expectations rise, you hope. And, then you are slapped in the face and it starts all over again.
I wish we all did not have these problems.
I hope your foot gets better.
Safe travels Smileless. Enjoy the sun!e

msmac Thu 02-Oct-14 13:39:44

makes sense-sorry typo. Must learn to engage fingers before brain.

msmac Thu 02-Oct-14 13:53:44

I know you are traveling, Florida is a wonderful sunny get away (holiday?) for you guys?
If you wish to do something on Facebook, it is pretty easy and a lot of people do need a support group here in the US. There are some. Mostly about how you need to do anything to keep contact with the gs. You loose your integrity, pride. Sometimes the US is too, well never mind.
You could be the administrator (that is what it is called over here.
I belong to a German Shepherd one on facebook (or as we call it fb).
Something to think about. A lot of grams would benefit greatly, you are a kind and most generous person.

msmac Thu 02-Oct-14 13:54:27

Sorry, again-meant for Smileless. OOPS.

Smileless2012 Fri 03-Oct-14 21:26:19

Oh thank you msmac, what a lovely thing to say; yes I'llgive it some thought.

It's 4.15 in the afternoon here on our first day. There's plenty ofsunshineand it's very hot. Temperatures good for our first week 80's but good chance of showers, still the rain does help to cool you down.

Really good flight, only 8.5 hours instead of 9.5confused.

It is sooo hard to walk away but you're right Celebgran and msmc being given false hope and constantly riding the highs and lows of this emotional roller coaster just gets too much in the end. I felt guilty to begin with but this current battle is no longer one in which I want to engage. I'm sure there'll be others and so I'm saving my energy for those and for the great day when we'll get to know our gc again. I know it could take years but I really believe that day will come for all of us.

Glad you liked the quote Yogairl; it's brill. isn't it.

Have a good weekend everyoneflowersandwinefor you all. Had awinewith my lunch today, well I am on my hols.

Smileless2012 Sat 04-Oct-14 23:20:48

Saw this in a shop today and thought I'd share it with you all.

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain"

Here's some Floridasunshinefor you all.

celebgran Sun 05-Oct-14 18:06:07

Keep smiling all of you and great see you
Posting from holiday smileless ! X

msmac Mon 06-Oct-14 13:24:52

celebrant-the weather where I live is in in the sixties and some sun, but a chill is in the air. Yesterday, high 50. Washington should be a little nicer. I dread winter.
I also saw an interesting poem in a shop in Key west, Florida:

DARE
Dare to Hope
Dare to Scream
Dare to Fly
Dare to Dream
Dare to Reach
Dare to Climb
For that Last Flight Out
Dare to Leap
Dare to Fall
For that Last Flight Out
Is Within Us All!

It just spoke to me. Don't know why. Some inspirational thoughts in it.

Smileless2012 Mon 06-Oct-14 13:31:20

smilemsmac it's spoken to me too.

Yogagirl Tue 07-Oct-14 08:28:19

Morning
Well my ND is flying out for a two week holiday in Tenerife. Looking after her three guinea pigs! I feel bad when she goes away, feel very alone, especially this time being two weeks. Normally I would go away at the same time, but not happening this year, maybe going in November.
I feel bad in a different way these days, the trauma & shock have gone, but now replaced by this deep sadness that never goes away. I've given up trying to forget them, I can't do it & never will. It hurts me so much remembering the email from his mother telling me what a wonderful time she's having watching my Laila grow up & how she is going to make sure I never see her again, this coming from someone who is no relation to my Laila what so ever! I did and said nothing wrong!
My ND & I had a nice lunch on the beach Sunday, I've booked next years yoga retreat, our yogi Xmas dinner in the casino where they have a live singer & dancing till late & we are all going to see the band we support the 'White Onions' on Saturday, so a few things to look forward to [happy]
Keep enjoying your holiday Smileless wine
Hope your foot is feeling better today Celebgran flowers shame we didn't meet up when you were in my part of the woods.
For all the grans on here flowers, some we haven't heard from for a while, I wonder what happen to Mamamaria & Suebeck to name but a few, I know Nanban was reunited, she was the first post I read on here, took me days to read the whole lot!

Yogagirl Tue 07-Oct-14 08:32:21

celebgran Tue 07-Oct-14 09:42:56

Weather really horrid here wet windy day yesterday heating gone on!
yogagirl been 6 years nearly for me, know the sadness will never really go but determined Tor won't ruin my life and you do get better at coping I promise.

Really really try not to dwell on it, when you find yourself feeling. Sad try and think nice stuff, simple but it does help.

Not good yesterday had run in with local shop as not happy with new vax cleaner is pulling carpet mainly hall one which has stretched but shop were horrid not helpful at all!
Could do e without that! Rosie got on ok at vets except he noticed lump but thinks is fatty tissue oh dear she is very well at moment,

Do hear from nanban ow her email , things fragile but lot better than us of course. She is lovely lady.

Smileless2012 Tue 07-Oct-14 22:50:18

flowersand a BIG hug for you dear Yogagirl. I know exactly what you mean. The shock and trauma I felt have passed and I'm also keenly aware of the deep sorrow that seems to be all around me and inside me too. Even here in beautiful Florida.

I've feltsadtoday. Yesterday we went to the Magic Kingdom, it was lovely as always and as well as all of the little children running around, I kept seeing things in the shops, picking them up and thinking how much our gc would love them. Dear hubby jokes and says how much money we'd be spending if things were different and that we'd have needed an extra case just to take all the things home. He's trying to disguise his own sorrow but I can see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice.

I know you're really going to miss your ND while she's away but we're all here for you. Wish you could get on line, book a flight and come and spend some time here with us. Hubby could pick you up at the airport. I was going to say we'd need a detailed description but I could just hold a big sign which simply says Yogagirlgrin.

Glad that your son's arrived safe and sound Celebgran, you'll be missing him as well. Sorry your foot is causing so much painsadI do hope you can get it sorted soon, you must be fed up with it. Our previous dog ended up with several fatty lumps in her dotage. Nothing to worry about though. She did have one removed bec. of its position it could have made it difficult to walk if it had got too big.

Had a nice relaxing day today. Here's somesunshinefor you all and don't forget Yogagirl you're more than welcome.

Yogagirl Wed 08-Oct-14 08:53:15

Well my hubby remembers the Troggs, Animals and Kinks Celebgran. Glad you had a good time, hubby is jealous. He says his old time favorite is 'You really got me' haven't the faintest idea what he's talking aboutconfused.

Hope you soon get the results of your scan and that they can give you some much needed and deserved relief.

Haven't heard of White Onions either Yogagirlhmm, hope you enjoyed it and you're not missing your lovely daughter too much. A bit cloudy here today. We're having a lazy day as we're all exhausted. Went to Islands of Adventure and were there for 7 hoursshock. Did the Hogwarts ride twice; I could do that all day.

Got a little pressie to out in our gc's memory box. Hubby wanted to get him a cuddly toy and leave it on the door step but I know it'll get returned and would probably be sent with another nasty letter so I'd rather not.

Yes, we must keep going Celebgran, getting the most out of life.

I get worse on this iPad yogagirl you know I meant you! Lol

Smileless2012 Fri 17-Oct-14 14:13:44

Hello ladies. It's good to see that you're keeping yourselves busy.

Well that's positive isn't it Celebgran, if your foot problem usually lasts a year and you're half way through, only 6 months to go, is that it then? no advice regarding pain management, exercise etc?hmm.

Your daughter is lovely Yogagirl, 'phoning you while she's on holidaysmile. She obviously realises how hard it is for you while she's away. I din't think our son understands how much more difficult our situation is with him living so far away.

cupcakeand birthday wishes for little Rosie Celebgran. Our friends go home today so we will have our final week in Florida, just the two of us. It's been a great fortnight but will be nice to have some time to ourselves. We'll take a great big deep breath just before we leave, and hope that'll see us through the next 6 months until we come back.

Not sure what we'll be getting up to but no doubt lying around the pool will figure significantly.

Have a good weekend one and all.
