anniebach Report after report from the UN and other reputable bodies highlight the terrible state of so many of our institutions and public services. The NHS is unable to recruit staff and warnings have been given that it could be on the verge of collapse, teachers cannot be recruited or, perhaps more importantly, retained, the police service is so understaffed that many crimes go unreported or, if they are reported, uninvestigated, personal debt goes on rising because people are using their credit cards to settle essential bills, transport costs are rising but services are in many areas declining, help for the elderly in their homes (including the provision of Meals on Wheels which has declined by 60% in the last 10 years) is being reduced or withdrawn .... the list goes on and on and on.

All this has been the result of Conservative policy - not Labour policy, not Corbyn - and yet you insist on filling every political or vaguely political thread with criticisms of Corbyn and his supporters.

Expressing views which, if translated into policy and upheld by the legal system, would have dangerous health implications for a significant proportion of the population (1 in 3 women has had an abortion in the UK) is, in my view, not praiseworthy.

It's just that, Corbyns view of what he wants for the people of this country is my view also. I'm not sure about the way he is going about it. However, the party in power at the moment seems to want the sort of country that I only envisaged in nightmares, and it suits them to see us divided and arguing amongst ourselves. For that reason I shall continue to support Labour 100% but I'm not doing it through rose coloured spectacles. No one is perfect and no one party is perfect.

I have lost much sleep over this. I honestly do not trust Corbyn , how can anyone dismiss what he did in the eighties to party members and party leader, if you were a member then , if it doesn't trouble you it can only be because you agreed with him

You have no problem with his back stabbing , for me it was such a betrayal , my friend walked the streets fighting for Labour whilst she was also fighting cancer, she died before we had another labour government . He betrayed her , did she deserve that betrayal? No damn way did she

I did a walk last week on the History of Radicalism in my city it was organised by the Revolutionary Communist Party. The people organising it were young, idealistic and very knowledgeable, they were very polite and very respectful. I don't think I agree with their ideas, but they certainly weren't as you describe. Idealistic certainly, and if I had to choose between the young people rolling around the city on stag and hen nights and them, I'd much rather have the revolutionaries thank you.

You have already, on another thread, compared Hitler's supporters to Corbyn supporters. Again, no substantive arguments, just insults.

Annie, I think that is quite disgusting saying that Corbyn betrayed your friend who died of cancer.
My husband worked for Labour and also died of cancer. Who should I blame? He died two years into Cameron's prime ministerial role.

Jacob Rees-Mogg voted in favour of the bedroom tax 16 times. I wonder how many spare rooms he has. I bet his children have a room each.

Can you provide evidence that is his opinion and has stated this .

I am not asking for where or what you have felt confident to make these allegations because I believe you are making them on the back of his making a dinner speech. I am asking for evidence that what you have stated about Rees-Mogg is from the mouth of the man himself.

You may be correct for all I know but I have no knowledge he has been a 'member' of any group nor stated what you declare him to have said re repatronising anybody.

Why is it "irony" POGS? Most of us try to post comments about the subject being discussed these can vary from very right wing to very left wing and include some in the middle. Annie seems unable to post anything on any thread without mentioning Corbyn and making silly unfounded and personal remarks. There's nothing ironic about it . It is in fact bloody boring.
I know I am left wing I know others aren't and I like to discuss things with people with different views, much as I may dislike them (the views I mean). When Annie starts ranting I just try to ignore it and concentrate on the interesting posts, but it is sometimes very difficult.
