Good evening ladies...and gentlemen, of course!
I am a long time lurker. I think my username is 'Sickofweddingcake' which reflects my...now...attitude for marriage...(having two marriages...and one engagement behind me).
What is the story regarding your user name?
Please forgive me if I have posted in the wrong place. X

It’s my name! I registered five mins ago. It’s the same name I used for baby forums 20 years ago but not very original.

Panache Thu 19-Jul-18 17:54:04

I think mine....Panache........speaks for itself!!!!

"flamboyant confidence of style or manner."

Though believe me don`t believe all you read!

sassenach512 Thu 19-Jul-18 18:03:35

Hi fellow lurker! I don't often post either smile

My username comes from my love of the 'Outlander' novels by Diana Gabaldon. The heroine of the books is affectionately called 'sassenach' by the Scottish hero because she's english

DanniRae Thu 19-Jul-18 19:14:30

I wish I could tell you but, alas, I can't..................yet!! wink

Glitterknitbaby Thu 19-Jul-18 19:17:44

I was using some baby yarn with a glittery thread running through it when I joined. But I also thought the name quite suited me!

Nanawind Thu 19-Jul-18 19:25:04

Mines a shortened version of what the grandkids call me.

petra Thu 19-Jul-18 19:30:35

I hadn't long come back from a Petra.

chocolatepudding Thu 19-Jul-18 19:43:29

Chocolate is my favourite food - therefore chocolatepudding is easy to remember

Thank you all, for your most interesting replies.
Keep them coming!?

JoyBloggs Thu 19-Jul-18 20:08:24

It's my real name, you must know Joe, my DH grin

In fact I signed up about five years ago and I can't really remember why I chose my username, but I think I was struggling to come up with something and just decided a female version of the renowned Mr Bloggs would do.

Sickofweddingcake Thu 19-Jul-18 20:09:05

Looked up Petra: how interesting!

BlueBelle Thu 19-Jul-18 20:11:53

Very boring, just a favourite flower

NanKate Thu 19-Jul-18 20:30:43

Now just to put a tiny spanner in the works. I go to reply to someone on GN and I can't remember their name, especially where there are numbers involved or an odd spelling. Then I am scrolling up and down to find them ?

LynneB59 Thu 19-Jul-18 20:40:02

Mine is my actual first name and the initial of my surname...very unimaginative.

Maybelle Thu 19-Jul-18 21:07:10

Just two random words that fit. Nothing to do with my real name at all

OldMeg Thu 19-Jul-18 21:09:41

Self explanatory

Greenfinch Thu 19-Jul-18 21:13:17

Finch is the first syllable of the village where we live. I wanted to be goldfinch as we have them in the garden but was told there was already someone with that username though I have never seen a post from that person.

sodapop Thu 19-Jul-18 21:14:27

Nickname for our much loved Jack Russell.

FlexibleFriend Thu 19-Jul-18 21:23:51

I'm very flexible, adaptable etc and I try to be friendly

Sickofweddingcake Thu 19-Jul-18 21:44:09

Soooo... what would your second choice be?
I think mine would be 'deepthinker' as I tend to over analyse everything! ?

Nannylovesshopping Thu 19-Jul-18 22:14:40

Mine is because I do?

NanTheWiser Thu 19-Jul-18 22:23:22

Guess what mine means...

Marthjolly1 Thu 19-Jul-18 23:07:20

It was just what popped into my head for an name when I joined. Has absolutely no relevance to me as a person .

callgirl1 Thu 19-Jul-18 23:30:01

Mine IS my second choice. I was numberplease because I used to be a GPO telephonist many moons ago, then one day the site wouldn`t let me on, so I had an identity change, but still connected to my old job. Hubby said I was suggesting otherwise, lol!
