To think that Kurt Zouma should be banned from keeping animals after abusing his cat?

Just that really.

I know someone who used to be a (hobby) cat breeder and had trouble with local kids who poisoned/killed a couple of their cats.

They involved the rspca who, because they couldn't 'prove exactly' which youth had done it, prosecuted them for not keeping their cats safe (despite them being on their property, in a locked pen and behind 2 locked gates).

The rspca seized this person's cats, went to court 9 months later, asked the court to make the breeder pay boarding fees for 14 cats for 9 months and to give them a ban. Fortunately the boarding fees weren't upheld but a fine and a ban for 5yrs was imposed.

This was a respectable breeder who followed all legislation and GCCF (cat version of Kennel Club) rules and did absolutely nothing wrong.

When I look at the abuse that Zouma committed, then compare it with this breeder, imo he deserves, at the very least, the same punishment handed down to the breeder.

The fact that he is a famous footballer should not mean that he or his pets should be treated any differently to the rest of us. His pets deserve to be treated with respect (the same as yours and mine) and he deserves to be punished in exactly the same way as anyone else would be.

Thoughts..

The meat and dairy industries are inherently cruel, but that’s a whole different argument. Any animal cruelty should be treated equally.

Some of the WH fans are apparently singing supportive chants now.

Yes someone posted the link to them singing in the pub back in the thread

Are you watching Panorama?

No I’m not watching it. I know the dairy industry is inherently cruel although most people would prefer to believe it’s all happy cows and jolly farmers.

I have no respect for Moyes. He is only concerned with his own career as a manager and money of course. He is just hoping that as time goes by this will be forgotten.

He must have gone right down in a lot of people’s estimation.

Just a bit of good news: Re that creep Todd, who was shown hitting his horse with branches - the British Horse Racing Association have suspended him.

Afraid nothing good to report about West Ham, I had two long emails yesterday with the usual diatribe and pathetic response from Karen Brady. They are on the West Ham website.

Shinamae Wed 16-Feb-22 15:34:35

I have had no reply at all to my emails from the club or from that Brady woman ?

Sarnia Wed 16-Feb-22 15:52:07

I doubt anyone will get a reply from West Ham. They are hoping it will all fade away. I expect Baroness Brady has been on the blower to Boris for a few tips. I really thought the FA would have taken a stance on this and insisted on his suspension. Rather disappointed in their silence. Gives the wrong message completely. My football team are playing West Ham in the next round of the FA Cup. I sincerely hope we thrash them.

Oh I can assure you I have had a number of replies from West Ham, the latest one yesterday 15.2.2022 @ 14.28 with the usual mealy mouthed reply in respect of Brady. Also saying they will await the outcome of the RSPCA.

I am afraid it is all depressingly predictable now, they will do nothing more.

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 16-Feb-22 16:41:22

Anyone know what’s happened about his pathetic brother?

Yes they’ve kept a low profile as possible just hoping it will all blow over and the sad thing is it probably will but it really shouldn’t…?

I think a lot of the online anger will fade away but the memory of what he did will follow Zouma wherever he plays, I think.

Moyes and Brady will always be remembered for their refusal to condemn cruelty to an animal too.

I wonder if Sir Alan Sugar will quietly drop her from The Apprentice? He roundly condemned poachers who were shooting elephants.

MissAdventure Wed 16-Feb-22 17:53:17

I like Alan Sugar.
I hope he drops her loudly. smile

Yes, and preferably from a great height!

I couldn't agree more.

Dagenham & Redbridge FC suspended his brother immediately, which is commendable. They were inundated about his despicable behaviour & an email from the CEO (I forget his name now John something) said that they would not condone animal cruelty and would take immediate action - he was then dropped that day.

That shows West Ham right up then, they really should be ashamed…Moyes and Brady take note!!

I recorded the apprentice and I’m just watching it now and like I said before Karen Brady is a hard faced b***h. I never have liked the woman but her lack of integrity about this has really turned me against her… she is an absolute bloody disgrace…

West Ham play Newcastle at home this lunchtime.

Thanks for that bit of information Fanny..

Three new posts on here in 24 hours and not once have I seen it in the active thread. Have Moyes and Brady got to our esteemed leader’s?

Shinamae Sat 19-Feb-22 08:57:22

Finally! ?

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 19-Feb-22 09:27:58

If Zouma is ‘well enough ‘ to play now then I expect the spineless Moyes will use him, probably thinking it’s all blown over. I hope the crowd show that it’s far from having blown over and that there are protesters outside too.

lavendermine Sat 19-Feb-22 09:46:14

I hope so too. I did read in the week that he was going to play him. What a manager Moyes is, unbelievable.

(Just tried to post before on here and got an "Apache Tomcat" message! What on earth that is I have no idea).
