If only Netanyahu had been genuine in his negotiatons, there could have been more out by now. So many times it was reported that after a deal, Israel broke the ceasefire.

Netanyahu first became PM 1996, you say he formed a Muslim Terrorist group in 1987 , Wiki gives the following

Netanyahu has been recorded saying that allowing Hamas to build their strength was part of his strategy to ensure they were capable of challenging Fatah. ie deliberately turning a blind eye to what was going on in Gaza. It was his " divide and rule" strategy. This has been discussed on several previous threads and I've posted links to the video on more than one occasion. He clearly misjudged the situation badly..

I get the impression that the general public from across all parties are pretty disgusted at what is happening in Gaza. You don't have to be a Labour party supporter to be moved by pictures of starving children so it's certainly not just a Labour party issue so he is reacting to.

50 years ago Irish politics was a hotbed of terrorism and fanatics. Sinn Fein was the political wing of the IRA; the IRA was killing civilians in mainland UK; Americans were funding arms for the IRA "freedom fighters". Gerry Adams career moved from (reputed) leader of IRA/ interned prisoner of the British / to elected leader of Sinn Fein and major player in negotiating the Good Friday Agreement leading to peace.

Sinn Fein is now a respectable elected party in the Northern Ireland Assembly (devolved government). Take that, Ian Paisley.
