Yes far too soon! Right now with the sun beating down endlessly, Christmas is as far removed from the notion of robins and snow as it is in Australia when that falls in the middle of their summer. As such a snowy landscape is about as incongruous as a frozen Thames hosting Dickensian fairs is right now. In the bleak midwinter it ain't! Give us a break let us enjoy the last vestiges of summer, possibly with an Indian Summer following on.
It's not as if people are actually going to be sending Christmas cards the way they did once given the outrageous cost of stamps.
It's bad enough when the forced jollity, endless paraphernalia and all the Christmas ads are upon us in earnest without cranking it up during a heatwave.
