Lewlew What a lovely painting, and what a great achievement.
sillup My mum is 95 and also has age-related macular degeneration. I'm afraid she is rather set in her ways and is very resistant to any other way of doing things. She does receive material from a charity for sight-impaired people but she just will not listen to the audio magazines or books. Neither will she listen to the radio which is, of course, geared up to listen to rather than to watch. She has the TV blaring but because she can't see what is happening, she's not really taking it in.
We do have a sing-song together sometimes. She was a beautiful singer and pianist when she was younger and can still manage a tune.
After reading some of the comments here, I'm wondering whether, if I actually read the book to her myself, she might be less resistant.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
