I have asked for Esme's book for my birthday - not long to wait for it - and I am looking forward to reading it

Esme, bland?

and isn't it rather offensive to describe her as an interesting little woman. What has her height got to do with it?

Esme is anything but bland.

I like Esme. I think her dress style is great. She looks individual and stylish. Wonder if she has a dressmaker or does it herself? I wish Brogan had gone I find her voice so irritating.

Gingster Esme doesn't seem quite well this series. Her voice was very firm in previous years. She's a very interesting character.

I said that to a friend. Esme's voice is frail and wavering and she speaks in gasps. Hope she's ok.

I am another who doesn’t think Esme has seemed 100% this series. A bit frail, and her voice quite quavery.

Perhaps she had Covid?

According to her book she has always been a smoker (and also quite a heavy drinker). I wonder if she has a lung condition? She seems quite breathless.

It’s good all 4 are in the final. I don’t mind Esme, she knows what she’s talking about , she isnt there to entertain, I suppose that’s why they have a presenter , not just to say the time lol. May Martin wasn’t much different, both excellent in their field.

I couldn’t find it fora few minutes as my TV guide on screen was still giving it for BBC1

Bloody BBC doing it again! They must know months ahead when finals like tonight are going to be on!

I love Esme and loved her book. She made me feel a real stick in the mud. There she was in the 70s living in squats while I was getting a house and a mortgage! I wonder if she seems a bit quieter now Joe's gone. She is very good friends with him.

I’ve read Esme’s book and loved the relationship she has with Joe Lycett. I like the finalists but I do get a bit fed up with partners/parents/children saying: “it will boost their confidence if they win/they don’t know how good they are.” Well, up to a point they must believe they are in with a chance of winning. I wonder when people had to win any sort of competition to make their family proud of them as well. Were they not proud of them before?

Pleased Annie won.

I was routing for Annie and Man wee
Both did very dramatic jump suits Annie’s looked lovely on her model
I think Brogan went off the boil the last few weeks and the other lady’s was more ordinary

That jumpsuit of Annie’s was gorgeous. So pleased she won. Love watching the catch-up with the other competitors. Spent my time saying “Aw” at each one, especially at the babies ones!

It was a well deserved win , all her garments were great tonight

To see them all helping and supporting each other this week (and last too) was as lovely as their work. Probably the best show as the series.

I actually preferred all Man Yee’s outfits to Annie’s tonight, but I’m pleased Annie won because she’s produced some excellent outfits over the weeks, and she’s so modest.

That bow won it for Annie! Esmé's reaction to it said it all!
