I’m part way through yet another Nativity set for the Gdcs’ school raffle, nothing else this year. Two shepherds, Joseph and one Wise Man plus half another WM done, so still quite a way to go. I find the sheep the worst faff! Too many fiddly little bits.
Should do those first, get them out of the way, but they’re always last.

DH has started making Christmas bunting.

Stockings from a old cream wool blanket and tweedy remnants, just popped back from town with some velvet pom poms. And a (big) bar of Cadburys.

I have made my 3 piece outfit for a themed gathering, each piece can be worn at any time, so it will not be stashed away and wasted

I’m just about to start a scrap book journal. I was given the scrapbook as a gift and thought it would be a be a nice Autumn project.

I’ve just started on a winter robins cross stitch and plan to finish a knitted Mrs Santa before Christmas. In the post today I received the cross stitch kit that will be my 2024 project - very excited to start in January.

Carrying on with squares for a blanket for charity.

It's a bit mindless but easy to do in front of the tv in the evenings.
Until I've made enough I daren't look at the Jean Greenhowe book.

DH has started making Christmas bunting.

That’s reminded me - if anyone’s got a mass of small oddments of yarn to use up, there’s a free pattern for mini knitted Christmas stockings on the Jean Greenhowe website. They’re only about 4” high, and make very attractive bunting if strung together with those mini clothes pegs.
I made some last year - all white tops, but assorted colours and/or stripes for the rest.
I still have a mass of tiddly little oddments though!

Should have added, they’re very easy! No ‘proper’ sock shaping, knitted on 2 needles.

A shawl, using up all the leftover wool from other projects.

3/4 ways through crocheting a baby blanket using the basket weave stitch. Next project is to knit a pair of socks, which l have not done before. Hopefully they will turn out ok. Fingers crossed. 🤞

A Christmas wreath to go into a WI raffle at our pop up fayre next week. I’m quite pleased with it!

I am not a crafter, but went with a friend who is, to Alexandra Palace yesterday for the Knitting and Stitching show and it was amazing. My friend bought loads and I even got a couple of cross stitch kits. Prices were very good. The show runs through Sunday the 8th if anyone is interested.

I'm working towards a couple of craft sales which are booked at the end of November. I've made some Christmas cards and some beaded decorations so far, and some fabric brooches. I'm going to need more stock if I have a table so need to get working harder. I sold one Christmas decoration at a sale in September as I put some Christmas stock out to fill my table!

Ooh thank you off to take a look - I have so many odd ends of wool that I can't bear to chuck!

I’d love to see the finished shawl, I’m making toys with my odd balls

Widnesbabcia Fri 06-Oct-23 15:32:08

I would love to be able to crochet but alas I find all crafts so hard ...I can bake though

SueEH Fri 06-Oct-23 15:35:13

I’m just finishing off the hems on a pair of grey Bengaline trousers I’ve made (fabric and style line the Roman stretchy ones) and am about to cut out patterns for a jersey V neck winter dress and a teddy knit fabric cosy high neck jumper.

Not here, I'm the least crafty person in the world, my sisters put me to shame!
