There's light at the end of the tunnel, then cheelu - and it's not the lights of an oncoming train! That's good. smile

Yes, after three weeks in Manchester in the rain, I was glad to get back to the crisp, deep snow, but it will be good to swim in the warm sea!

Meeting my newest grandchild , my sons first which will be born late June/ early July... my newly married nephew is also expecting his first child at the same time and this morning I read that William and Kates baby will be born roughly the same time too.... a trio of much loved babies indeed.

Getting to use our static caravan, which we bought late last season. It all seems like a dream that we own it and can't wait for the Spring to get to use it.

We're looking forward to our main holiday this year which will be a return visit to the amazing Bavarian Alps towing our own caravan. It's a long trip, about 850 miles each way door-to-door, but the weakness of the Euro coupled with the falling global price of diesel means that we think we can finally afford it. The "Sound of Music" scenery and the stunning Alpine villages like Ettal and Oberammagau (not to mention the incredible Schloss Neueschwanstein) make it worthwhile.
