Happy, quite settled and just a little stressed due to family demands.

Jadey Sat 09-Mar-13 22:25:32

Thank you when that is my hope, that it does settle down, it did for a while, but when she found out about the seriousness of his new girlfriend she has started things up again and she has poisened that poor litle boys mind, I tried to reason with her and asked her nicely why would she want to make a little boy of 4 hate someone, regardless to who they were, it did not make much difference and its a horrible situation to be in, but as he gets older he will know that its never a good thing to hate anyone.

Hope that is soon over Jadey. I know what that feels like, as my son and grandson were treated the same way for the first couple of years, but it has settled down to a more manageable level, as I hope it does for you. flowers

Feeling ok, trying not to worry about my grandson that is being pulled and tugged by his Mum, who left my son a year ago, as now that my son has found someone nice and kind to be with, after a year of being alone, his Mum is upset and told my GS that his Dads new girlfriend is a horrile person, felt so sorry for him when he came to visit today the boy was totally confused and was fretting to the extent that he had a bit of a feversad

Gally Sat 09-Mar-13 21:23:55

Paracetamol Night time are to be recommended for sleep too! As Galen says, a good nights sleep is half the battle.

Galen Sat 09-Mar-13 20:49:48

I swear by benylin, the original not the non drowsy. It gives you a goodnights sleep and at least then you feel better the next day!

Time for wine Butty I think - maybe even wine wine

Butty Sat 09-Mar-13 18:44:20

Tired and not a little confused.
Drove off to Poitiers train station (1 hr.) to pick up some friends who had travelled by boat, train, and plane from Shetland. Waited and waited. Texted. Waited. Reply came - we didn't come by train, we're at the airport. I should add here that it wasn't MY FAULT. Drove out of the multi-storey car park (I loath those), through traffic to the other side of town. They were kindly waiting the other side of the parking barrier so I wouldn't have to pay - so I did a forbidden U-turn. Forgot I was in France and drove off on the wrong side of the road.
Stopped off to get milk, bread and a few groceries as they'd been away for several months, only to find no parking spaces anywhere. Double parked. 1 1/2 hrs. back home to their door, then drove back to my home.

Knackered!

Soup tonight.

I have heard (haven't tried it as I rarely have a cough) that if you have an irritating cough at night it is good to put lots of Vick on the soles of your feet and put socks on. Apparently it stops you coughing and is particularly good for babies and children. Worth a try smile

Ella46 Sat 09-Mar-13 18:33:28

The blooming mystery virus lingers. DH has had it for 2 weeks and still has cough, sinusitis and unsettled guts. I have had it lingering for about 4 or 5 and still the occasional cough or funny stomach sensations, slowly reducing but mine was only a mild dose to start with.
I think i too had whooping cough last year ga. Those antivaccers have lot to answer for. The vaccine wears off over the years so unless you have a good coverage of little 'uns it increases. There is too much about at the moment. They brought the booster for pregnant women in last year and it is really important as newborns are really endangered by this.
Sympathies to all sufferers. Miserable.

Marelli Sat 09-Mar-13 13:25:33

Oh dear, glass - watch yourself? Keep cosy and remember - plenty fluids! flowers
