And which is your favourite forum? I used to be exclusively on the Health one but I try not to go there too often as I have health anxiety and I can become quite obsessed. I do like this Chat one!

That's correct, seacliff it was brought about by a particularly nasty event.

For those that don't know, after being made redundant, and a period of awful jobs and unemployment, I finally found a job that really suited me.

I posted something that I shouldn't have, expressing a concern for my boss.

Someone (obviously a GN member) saw fit to print it off and send it in the post to him.

I can only think that their motive was to try and get me sacked. Nice.

Fennel am flattered that you were going to mention some of my "ramblings"!

To you and annep1 I will admit to bring shaken to the core by that event, no matter how much I might dislike someone, I cannot imagine taking actions that could result in them losing their job, especially when I had posted about the trials and tribulations of my search for employment.

I did receive a few pm's from members who thought that they knew who it might have been, but what would have been the point in trying to do anything about it?

Much rather stick to starting threads on my usual inane, daft stuff, with the odd post on other threads, although the Archers has got me going lately!

Phoenix how did that person know who you were in real life so to speak?

Bluesky perhaps I was indiscreet, I know I posted the name of the place where I was working, (proud and happy to be working there) and my boss's name was on the website, the letter was sent "To only be opened by (boss's name)"

The sender didn't use my real name, probably didn't know it, as indeed most people (apart from a few) do, however they didn't need to know who I was in order to do their nasty stuff!

What do you think they might have got out of it, copying that post, printing it off, then putting it in an envelope, attaching stamps (about £2 worth,if I remember correctly) and sending it?

Part of me feels sorry for them, but another part hopes for karma, i.e. "What goes around, comes around!" ( Or whichever way it is )

Phoenix the karma option definitely! Or as that someone said:' The more I know people, the more I like dogs!'

I loved (and not because I started the thread) the one where everyone said what they'd done that day.

I could imagine people walking dogs, going to the shops, cleaning the house for their son and much more.

What so many people felt was mundane, I loved and found interesting.

Sorry for being negative but I think the most mundane thread I ever got involved with was discussing how you hung your washing out. Did you match up the pegs? (I didn't, but have done ever since............drat it!!!) How did you hang up your knickers, your shirts etc. But happily I have to say that at least all the posts were cheerful and no one got stroppy - so I guess that says something about people who get involved in such threads
