In my youth I was often likened to Sarah Ferguson, but with dark brown hair. I also had/have some of her personality traits - the good ones I'm sure. wink. When I look in the mirror I believe I can see the resemblance.

So who have you been likened to and do you agree?

When I was in my late teens/twenties I was told so many time’s that I looked like Julia McKenzie (Fresh Fields) then in my 30’s and 40’s it was Princess Diana, although I had long thick curly hair, apparently I have the same face, eyes and expressions as she had.

About three years ago, just before I retired, my close work colleague (there were only the two of us in the office) rushed into the office and said “I’ve just seen your exact double - I thought it was you” she screamed. She had been watching breakfast TV and thought that the presenter (Louise Minchin) and I were the same person! I had to google her and to be honest I couldn’t see any resemblance at all. She kept going on about it during the day, evening asking other people who came into the office if I looked like her. I suppose it was a slight compliment as she is 13 years my junior bit I still don’t see it, even I were to have a fringe!

I found a black and white photograph of my grandmother when she was around 19 or 20 and did a double take. It was me! I showed it to my partner and he was astounded as we looked the same.

In my late teens/early twenties, I was told I looked like Raquel Welch

Tweedle24 Sat 27-Jun-20 12:28:46

In my teens our elderly neighbour used to say I had Elizabeth Taylor’s eyes, my dad used to Laugh and say keep fluttering your eyelashes it cheers the old boy up.

I don't have a likeness to anyone but sister was always told she look like Una Stubbs .

I'm not sure if anyone remembers her but I was told in my younger years I looked like Lee Remick the actress. I suppose we did look similar and I have very blue eyes like her

Through time I have been told I look like Cyd Charisse, Debbie Harry and Susan Hampshire. Nowadays, I like to think I look like a tall Judy Dench....I am most delighted with this growing resemblance even though she is 15 years older than I am...

Also my daughter was a festera in Spain and she was told several times she look like a young Grace kelly .

Years ago I was told I resembled Angela Pleasence. I hope I'm not too like her in some of her grittier roles ?

Kate1949 Sat 27-Jun-20 12:54:40

My sister days I remind her of Lindsay Duncan and a work colleague said I was like Hermione Norris. Beats Paul McCartney I suppose!

When I was younger I was told I looked like Lorraine Chase. I've just googled her and have to say I can still see a resemblance, something to do with the cheekbones and blue eyes I think.

Unfortunately, Harold Shipman

That’s very unfortunate ......especially if you are a woman.?

Seems there's a right lot of glamour pusses on here.... I look like my mother, and/or both Grandmothers, depending on which photo you're looking at.

Lizbethann55 Sat 27-Jun-20 13:17:16

My cousin, in Canada, says I look like Angelica Houston and keeps sending me pictures of her to prove it!??

Patticake123 Sat 27-Jun-20 13:17:51

I’m like Kate1949, in my youth I apparently looked like Miss Dianne from Crossroads. As I was adopted at birth I have no idea what any of my forebears looked like, I loved being told I looked like someone! I don’t think anyone would mistake me for her nowadays!....

Annali Sat 27-Jun-20 13:24:30

Catherine Zeta Jones ?

Dawn2020 Sat 27-Jun-20 13:27:26

I was often asked by strangers if we'd previously met.. turns out I was either likened to Sandra Bullock or Nigella Lawson when I'd gained a bit of weight. I didn't mind at all. Sandra Bullock more like due to my personality.

Lancslass1 Sat 27-Jun-20 13:36:49

Whoever I look like she is obviously very attractive because when somebody mistook me for another woman and I asked him if she was also tall, slim and incredibly attractive ,he said" Yes"

Lancslass1 Sat 27-Jun-20 13:38:58

To add to my previous message .
At the moment with my hairstyle I look very much like a taller version of Rod Stewart who is having a bad hair day

Not me, but o/h. He was invariably thought to be David Niven, in fact, so insistent was a lady in a nightclub in Rome once that he was in fact, D.N. and demanded(!) his autograph, that, to get rid of her, he scribbled some sort of autograph on a piece of paper and handed it to hergrin
Later, when we relocated to the UK, this surfaced again. I was gleefully able to tell him that I'd been told "Your o/h reminds me of that film star, can't remember his name, but, y'know, one of the old ones!"gringringrin
But in the end they did have something in common. They both died from MND.sad
