My son is getting married in March. I am of course giving thought to my outfit. However I have not been keen to go shopping during the pandemic! Lockdown is probably round the corner now so shops will be closed. I am in my 70s and have taken great care during this difficult time. My daughter married 7 years ago and I bought a lovely outfit , felt a million dollars on the big day. I am tempted to wear it again , it does still fit although a few pounds off might be a good idea! Should I wear it again or is that inappropriate? My DH thinks it is an ok thing to do and I considering doing that? I would appreciate your thoughts please.

I would wear your outfit again, if it fits and you are comfortable in it, go for it.
I regard clothes in cost per wear and some of mine bought for weddings were way too expensive not to be worn again.
I can't imagine people studying previous wedding photographs and commenting on outfits.

An update, have spoken to my son about wearing the outfit again he said " mum you looked amazing in that outfit , yes please do wear it " So probably will , although I may still have a look around. Don't think I will find anything nicer though ! It is very classical , long skirt, top and beautiful jacket all in the same quality material.

Thanks so much for coming back! You have your son’s confirmation of what many of us have said. Wear it with confidence and pride!
