I've not long had breakfast but it was very meagre - a bit of granola and yoghurt. I'm quite well stocked with goodies but can't decide what to have and need some inspiration.

What are your eating plans for the day?

Sarahmob

I’ve been busy in the kitchen preparing an afternoon tea for my parents (part of their Christmas present). On the menu

Chicken and lime mayonnaise sandwiches
Salmon and cucumber sandwiches
Individual quiches
Home made toasted muffins

Scones, jam and clotted cream

Passion fruit and raspberry tarts
Fruit cake
Orange spice cake

So that’s for eating at our house today ?

That sounds divine!

I have discovered a new lunch

Lentil rice cake with baked augergen topping

Delicious Mac cheese for me. Yummy.

henetha Tue 18-Jan-22 10:58:04

Porridge for lunch I think.
Then I've got two chicken breasts whose sell by date is today
so I will cook them and eat one with roast potatoes etc. And the other one tomorrow with something else.

Well certainly not a wrap of any description.
I found the various instructions on how to make one on a par with the incomprehensible leaflets which accompany IKEA flat packs.
Another First World problem?
Seriously home made chicken and leek soup for lunch which I made last night in the pressure cooker and an ox cheek with pickled walnuts casserole (adapting a Delia venison recipe) for supper, made in the slow cooker.

Something in a sandwich- poss ham and cheese - for lunch.

And the Burgerologist visits the village tonight so that's a given.

Love this thread so much thought it was time to add today’s.
Breakfast. Blueberries, oats, Greek yoghurt, mixed seeds, cinnamon.
Lunch. A bag of Iceland quinoa with a fried egg and a splash of soy sauce.
This Evening. Salmon fillet with prawns, and I will use my small rice cooker to do vegetables with brown basmati rice.

For tonight I have made three individual fish pies. DH has to go out early, so we can be flexible about timings. One is for the freezer, always handy if one of us needs a quick meal.
We have a lot of milk, so I made a blancmange too.
