If you won the lottery what would you buy?

When I was younger I wanted a big house with stables, menage, fields and a long private drive. These days I wouldn't even move from my 3 bed rented house but I would love a small holiday home by the sea.

I would help my children buy nice houses and set my granddaughter up for later in life.

I would splash out on a classic red Ford Mustang and a few nice cruises a year.

I have given this a lot of thought, despite the fact i won just £10 !!

I would not move from where i am now, i would buy a brand new car, buy my daughter and son a house and 1 thing ( or a lot of things ) i SOOO want to do is help people out when they are in dire straights, that comes before my shiny new car, to just help others would be my wish... end of. X

I can’t buy what I need.

A pony for me, sky sports subscription for my mum, & I'd bribe my DH to take me dancing. And heat exchanger boilers all round.

Thinking of a sum similar to that won by the UK Euro lottery winner, I would set up a charitable foundation and put most of it on there.

Obviously there would be help for children and grandchildren, but I have been fortunate in life and so have DC and DGC, so I would give most of it away.

Keep enough not to have to worry about bills and to be able to have good holidays and give the rest to young family members with their lives ahead of them.

I’d buy a small bungalow and a small new car. Homes for my children and help my Grandchildren on the ladder or just help them out.

Assuming a mega win, I would sort my family and friends out then do an escorted trip to every state in the USA.

well I'd pay all family and friends fuel bills to start.
Then houses and whatever they would like..

I’d buy a house in the village we live in - no bigger than the one we’re in and a new car.

An apartment, rather than my run down flat.
No pipes, no artex, a well designed kitchen with a utility room containing a tumble dryer. smile
Bliss!

I’ve just won £3.80 on Euromillions! ??

Any suggestions?

Ali23 Wed 09-Feb-22 07:28:42

I would find it much easier to win and spend £3.80 than 3.8 million!

I would give it to animal charities and to my son and daughter in law. Nothing I really need for myself.

Definitely a chartered yacht in the Med with all the staff. I've always fancied telling the chef what I want to eat and sending him off to the markets to source the best possible foods while I laze around and swim in the warm waters.

A house in Aldeburgh with sea views.

nadateturbe Wed 09-Feb-22 07:55:46

I would build a little bungalow in the village I want to live in. There are never any on the market.
Private health care. It wouldn't guarantee health but at least my doctor would have time to listen.
I'm quite content with what I have.

I always reinvest small winnings Fanny. I have reinvested £10 in one night. Still no luck.

Casdon Wed 09-Feb-22 07:56:23

If I won £3.80 I’d put it towards buying some Badedas FannyCornforth, then I could lie in the bath dreaming of the sun in the med.
if I won millions the first thing I’d do would be book into a health farm somewhere warm for a month so I could think about what to spend the rest on after I’d paid off the family mortgages.

Private health care- buy nephews a house or flat, put money aside so when needed I could move into a good hotel and pay for "help" to visit as required.

Donate to animal charities.

A nice house with land for my son and daughter in law and the kids, a log cabin on the land for me and stables for my ponies etc Plus nice big donations to small local charities.

MissAdventure Wed 09-Feb-22 09:01:23

I could have a cat! smile

I'd be generous to my family then travel, travel, travel!
You can't buy what you may really want, to me that would be health and happiness for me and mine.
