I have a huge bunion on my left foot. Has anyone brought Calla shoes and do they help.help? Unfortunately will have to buy online so can't try them on. 8m sick of wearing trainers which DH has slit to relieve pressure. Any advice would be appreciated

Yes Compeed are brilliant aren’t they Aldom. They are definitely worth the money and when Boots is offering 3 for 2 I double up on my purchase.

I definately do not second Compeed plasters for bunions if they are anything like the ones they advertise for blisters!

I tried them and found that they stuck to the blister and hurt far worse than either an unprotected blister or one covered with sticking-plaster.

So try them when you are at home, or somewhere else where you can take the plaster off again pronto, if your feet react like mine.

^^I've had both my bunions done, some years ago. No sign of them returning, an inheritance from my mother which I didn't want!
The treatment depends on the bone structure of your foot - not all bunions are the same. Mine have been successfully sorted, too. Try for a podiatric surgeon if you can, as they specialise in feet. It's day surgery nowadays.

Thank you all for your advice. I am no longer able to wear ordinary shoes without pain. Hotters are too tight across bunion. Will try Calla, giving them my measurements.

I'm having a knee replacement on that side in May maybe when recovered I'll get a referral to podiatrist.

Skechers have an excellent range.
