I don’t know about Amazon but I do have some advice re flowers. If you use one of the “national” delivery services like inter flora they take a cut. So the local florist makes a bouquet for a lower price than you pay. It’s much better to Google a local florist, buy directly, and get your full value.
I wondered about that but there wasn't a florist anywhere near her town. I found the ordering system on the store I finally picked SO frustrating I'll never use them again. Then to crown it all the bank wanted my card verifying! Amazon is so very easy to use I thought if they were of a decent standard I'd give them a 'try'. I realise flowers by post are unreliable, and a lot depends on the weather and delivery treatment. Its the thought that counts after all.
I was at a loss as to what to buy my daughter for her January birthday. I sent her letterbox flowers from Bloom & Wild. She loved them and they lasted for ages. They also do house plants.
Why not find a local florist. They are usually better than posted flowers…. I have received letter box flowers several days later and they were mostly dead. Very disappointing.
Sorry yours were dead grandMattie. I've sent the letterbox flowers about six times now, always been in bud and opened up beautifully when put into a vase.
I like Bloom and Wild and once, when they didn’t last, they sent me a replacement bouquet. It’s a shock to receive a bunch of rather dead looking blooms though.
I've always found Bloom and Wild's customer service second to none. Had cause to "complain" when Royal mail messed up the delivery, they offered a replacement by courier that unfortunately wouldn't work, so instead provided a replacement letterbox delivery with an 'extra gift' and a credit. Yes sometimes the initial box looks 'less than', but give it a day or so and they spring into life, gorgeous.
I rate Bloom & Wild, but I don’t recommend sending flowers at the moment because of the postal strikes I sent my step mother a bouquet which should have arrived on Friday They arrived dead yesterday (Tuesday)
I was unlucky then. I’m going to have to give them a call. I recently bought a large rattle snake plant from them and it’s leaves went brown. They gave me a refund straight away, no question asked. They must have lost a lot of money because of the postal strike
Bloom and wild are very ad hoc I sent my daughter some that were awful and didn’t improve and again my friend sent her ill friend some that she was very dissatisfied with but others find them wonderful So your not alone Fanny Recently I couldn’t find anywhere to deliver to Southern Ireland and left it too late to do a local florist and wasn’t sure if they’d even do it with the difference in currency
Instead of flowers, which are often disappointing, I have recently sent balloons, e.g. to congratulate GD on graduation, also sent vegan chocolates on another occasion., both of which were well received. Bubblegum balloons
