Unfortunately the appearance on screen varies depending on whether you're using phone, tablet or laptop. On my laptop there's a grey bar on same line as username and on right of it there are a number of options - one on far right is "Quote".

Same on my iPad Farmor.

No maroon dots on my iPad Fanny but above each post near the report button is a quote button

Thanks Fanny I have never noticed the squares before so thought I would give it a try and it worked!!

Can anyone tell me how to highlight a posters name in bold, so they know your response is for them and stands out? TIA (Thanks in advance! )

Dizza, you place an asterisk ✳ directly in front of/ after the name, no spaces, and it appears bold.

The 'I' button, next to the emoji button, on mobile site, shows you how to do a few things.
