I have a tassimo machine that you can buy hot chocolate pods for (cadburys for example)

I think those velvetisers are dreadfully overpriced!

My favourite hot chocolate comes from Lidl.. I’m so common

I have a velvetiser and I love it. My favourite chocolate for it is Hotel Chocolat ginger (it has a real kick), and I like their Black Forest Gateau too. Otherwise, I buy chocolate from Pendragon, as it is much cheaper than HC and just as nice. I recommend their Dark Spice flavour, and the orange one (can't remember the name, but it's also dark - I'm less keen on the sweet milky ones).

I like the Lidl Hot Chocolate too. Prefer it to Cadbury and more expensive brands .

Oh, Lidl chocolate is lovely, not sure if it's their own make or a German brand.

Me too. I find hot chocolate - at least any that I’ve tried - too sickly sweet.

My daughter likes the Options hot chocolate best, I'll give the Lidl one a go.

I've just tried the Fox's hot chocolate, tooth tingingly sweet!

Another vote for Lidl instant hot choc here.
DH bought a different brand and it wasn't as nice.

Having read the thread - the OP is talking about making chocolate drink in a slow cooker. That seems an awful faff, when milk could be quickly warmed in a pan or microwave, or am I missing something?

So glad I'm not the only one! I like chocolate but I can't stand chocolate as a drink. It's just nasty.

I think it’s something you might do for a large number of people Georgesgran. There’s a recipe in BBC Good Food magazine, but like you I’d find it too much faff. Anyway, here’s the recipe.
