We have people staying over the winter, and winter walks will be on the agenda. I have heard you can do hot chocolate in a slow cooker which I thought would be nice on our return to warm up. However, I don’t drink it. I wish I could like it (I LOVE chocolate confused ) but I just don’t.
So, wise people, please tell me if there’s brands that you would recommend or is it all pretty similar. Maybe I could even be converted if there’s a ‘dealbreaker’ brand?!

I was a lifetime Cadbury fan until I decided to 'gamble' 89p on a Lidl equivalent. Bingo! Now only L for me.

I'm a big hot chocolate fan, - prefer it to coffee. I just add hot water to it in a mug. No sugar. And I will try Lidl's next time I go there.

Never liked Hot Chocolate (except the singer) - I’d rather a nice big bar of Cadburys fruit and Nut

I've just bought a hot chocolate bomb to put into hot milk, I'll report back! Was going to save it for my daughter but she's a strict veggie and it contains marshmallows with beef gelatine.

Plain cocoa for me, much too much sugar in hot chocolate usually.

Yes me too. Love the plain chocolate taste of pure cocoa in hot milk.

We make ours in the slow cooker on bonfire night, and sometimes over Christmas when we go out for a walk, so it's ready when we get home. A good whisk up before serving. Almond milk though rather than dairy. Sometimes a little bit of liqueur for the adults. Usually use Montezumas 100% chocolate which is quite bitter, so marshmallows for those who want it sweeter.
