Something meagre or hearty on this dull Sunday morning?

I'm undecided smile

2 Weetabix with sugar & semi skimmed milk warmed in the microwave for 90 seconds. Then a bowl of sunshine ... peach halves in natural juice. I’m on a low fat diet and it’s working.
😊

Scrambled eggs on a cheese and cracked black pepper muffin - only ever have time for something like that on a Sunday!

Oopsadaisy1 Sun 30-Oct-22 07:23:00

Same as usual, melon, grapes, apple, some thawed out Summer berries a sprinkle of Granola and a dollop or 2 of Greek Yogurt.

Porridge with blackberry syrup as usual

I have the same thing every morning as I am a creature of habit. Milky coffee, 4 rounds of lightly buttered toast and a yogert. Sometimes I add a piece of fruit.

I only have coffee at breakfast. This sets me up so I dont need much at lunch time. I only eat a cooked meal for dinner which is often about 9 pm.

I dropped a carton of eggs from the fridge yesterday, so we had 6 scrambled eggs between us on buttered toast. Lovely!

Been awake since 5am and finally out of bed at 7am on a Sunday - unheard of.
Was about to grab a slice of toast and marmalade, but used up the blueberries, rasps and grapes with 30g of low sugar muesli and skimmed milk. Yep on a pre-Xmas diet.

Today it will be the usual for Dh. Alpen, yoghurt, half a banana and honey, followed by coffee and a slice of toast. Never varies! 🥱.
I have a different cereal every day, chopped banana(other half) , chopped apple or nectarine or grapes. Yoghurt and honey.

I went for meagre... plain yoghurt, defrosted sweet cherries 🍒
sprinkling of granola, and a large coffee.

Might have something more substantial around noon!

We ate about to start a new routine of a cooked Sunday brunch then a main Sunday meal at about 5pm, so two meals instead of 3. Hoping to shift a few pounds.

Pittcity Sun 30-Oct-22 07:50:38

You all seem to be eating healthily.
I was all caked out from an afternoon tea yesterday but DH has croissants in the oven for breakfast!!!

ginny Sun 30-Oct-22 07:50:46

Porridge and raspy for me.

ginny Sun 30-Oct-22 07:51:08

Raspberries !

2 weetabix (Morrison’s own brand) with warm milk and a banana sliced on top. Much the same every day this time of year.

Jaxjacky Sun 30-Oct-22 08:00:07

2 weetabix or shredded wheat, blueberries, banana and s/s milk, but not until later, about 11:30.

Ashcombe Sun 30-Oct-22 08:10:41

Two Weetabix or Oatibix with cold skimmed milk, blueberries and grapes.

ParlorGames Sun 30-Oct-22 08:19:02

Proper porridge. Made with half milk and water, no salt and a little drizzle of runny honey.

aggie Sun 30-Oct-22 08:21:25

Porridge with bananas and Greek yogurt , sometimes I have muesli instead of the porridge

Maggiemaybe Sun 30-Oct-22 08:30:19

Somewhere between meagre and hearty, I think. DH said he’d be cooking eggs. I’m now sorely tempted to dunt him awake to ask what sort. smile

Kim19 Sun 30-Oct-22 08:31:58

Pot of yoghurt with some seeds mixed in, half a banana, five prunes, few walnuts, half an orange nicely rounded off with a drink of chopped fresh lemon/lime juice, fresh ginger and set honey. Absolutely yummy. Have this more at a brunch time than breakfast and then main meal around 5 and that's it.

Bran flakes full fat milk and raspberries I’ve been awake half the night with a cough that keeps hanging on. I might need a nap later .

Oldwoman70 Sun 30-Oct-22 08:45:25

All your healthy breakfasts put me to shame but it is Sunday - so that means egg, bacon, hash browns and toast! Plus 3 cups of coffee

notgran Sun 30-Oct-22 08:49:00

Improper porridge grin with raspberries and a cup of coffee.

Witzend Sun 30-Oct-22 08:54:09

I wish I liked the cereal/fruit/yogurt type of breakfast - dh has muesli and fruit every morning - but I don’t. I hate yogurt anyway.

I’m not usually hungry first thing. I like something savoury rather later. So it might well be an egg or two on toast at 10 or 11-ish. Occasionally it’ll be smoked salmon and cream cheese on a plain bagel - my favourite - usually only when we have guests or at Christmas, though.
