Nice Stuff to go in the Bath šŸ›

Hello smile

Please can I have some suggestions for nice bath products?

I’m sick of wasting money on stuff that a) doesn’t have any discernible scent; and b) doesn’t foam.

Thank you!

FannyCornforth. I like the deep natural sea salts (those that dissolve), and add a few drops of essential oils; my favourite is rose & geranium. I also like Neom, L’Occitane and many of those already suggested. Enjoy your soak, it is so very therapeutic, especially with scented candles and maybe some gentle music? 😊

I love Badedas, but my Mum always used to use Badedas but only at Christmas as she said the pine smell reminded her off Christmas. So I also only use it at Christmas- crazy I know.

But for Christmas last year my daughter asked for some nice bubble bath after some research I bought her a Neals Yard set, she absolutely loves it. So I might treat myself to some.

My absolute favourite is REN bath oil. However although we do have a bath I haven’t used it for ages. The Ren stuff I like is a bit oily and slippery for a shower .At the moment I am using a big bar of soap from TKMaxx. Rose and Geranium . TKMaxx is brilliant for bath stuff.

Calli, I love fenjal and have used it for many years. They used to do talc but I can’t seem to find it anymore.

Lush bath bombs are amazing but you only need half of one, they smell gorgeous and make the water really soft plus it's fun to watch them fizzing away 😊

I have a long bath (up to 2 hours blush every morning, to calm my RA aches and pains, and have settled on Dove Foam Bath. It only has a mild smell but I have never had dry skin, which is my main requirement.

I use Badedas, have for years, my children say the smell evokes memories.

What is the bath chair recommended by Riverwalk please?

Jaxjacky Wed 05-Apr-23 12:51:43

I think you need to ask Fanny Amelia I don’t use one.

FannyCornforth Wed 05-Apr-23 14:35:37

Amelia, I will have a look and post a link later.

Thanks again everyone, I’ve been a bit busy and haven’t had time to read properly yet.
I have added some Badedas to my Morrison’s order though smile

L'Occitaine Verbena bath and shower gels. Hand cream gorgeous too

Faith in Nature bath gel is organic, lovely subtle scents and gives masses of bubbles. It definitely doesn't dry my skin...

Our bath is a cast iron one on four animal feet the previous owners put in. Don't be conned by how lovely they are because ours isn't it's very slippery.
Once, when DH was away, I thought I would treat myself to a tiny bottle of Molton Brown bath soap, and I got in.
When I tried to get out I couldn't I kept slipping back in and couldn't step over the side without doing myself an injuryblush
L'Ocitaine is very nice but make sure it is soap and does not have oil in it. Molton Brown Bergamot is lovely as well.

My favourite is Fenjal too Summer fly. Foaming bath oil, shower mousse and body lotion. Yes they have stopped doing talc unfortunately.
Another absolute must for me is a large handful of Epsom salts to ease aches and pains.

Molton Brown's Orange and Bergamot. Pricy, but long lasting, with a lovely perfume ( in my opinion) and if you get on their email list, there are sometimes offers on products.

Aaran bath and shower gel plus body moisturiser - lovely long lasting scent.

Scottiebear Thu 06-Apr-23 11:35:08

I love Molton Brown. And it lasts a long time.

brazenp75 Thu 06-Apr-23 11:36:56

I like Neals Yard stuff..................or Molton Brown.

sazz1 Thu 06-Apr-23 11:45:16

I use simple bubble bath and shower gel. Not perfumed but lathers up well and doesn't irritate my skin

knspol Thu 06-Apr-23 11:48:59

Molton Brown for me, love all of their 'flavours'. Aesop products are really great too but way too expensive for me.

When I lived in Germany in the early 80's, I was introduced to Badedas, and it's still my "go to" choice at bath time, although I tend to prefer showers more these days due to mobility problems. Fortunately, they also do shower gel. Part of the formula includes horse chestnut extract, and I've always loved the distinctive, fresh, clean scent. Much less expensive now, comparatively speaking, than back in the old days, when there wasn't much competition, and it was seen as a luxury product, and it's still widely available.

Molton Brown for me too. Was converted many years ago and don't use anything else now. Heavenly scents for baths and showers.

I'd love to have a bath, FannyCornforth but getting out worries me so I haven't had one for years.

We do have a separate shower but it's not the same.

L'Occitane, Molton Brown and Fenjal are all lovely, followed up by a moisturer which has the same scent.

I'll look out for the M&S Neroli range.

Chairs that can sit in most baths lower and raise the seat with battery operated controls are a very good option: you don’t have to make any alterations to bath or bathroom and the chair just lifts out for the rest of the household. The chair is stabilised with strong sucker feet. My bath is a terrible slanted thing but the chair fits in fine - just make sure the control is charged before using. They’re about Ā£250.00 so much more affordable than walk in baths
