Nice Stuff to go in the Bath 🛁

(69 Posts)

Hello smile

Please can I have some suggestions for nice bath products?

I’m sick of wasting money on stuff that a) doesn’t have any discernible scent; and b) doesn’t foam.

Thank you!

Fanny I read your post as nice stuff to go to in Bath. I was going to tell you that the Museum of Fashion is closed. grin
The Body Shop Rose bath products are lovely. A clean, fresh rose perfume. Gentle on the skin. The Body yoghurt is amazing. A great moisturiser. Sinks in, non greasy.

grin Aldom as soon as I posted I regretted that capital letter!
I remember going to the museum of fashion in the 80s. I’m shocked that it has closed.
I hadn’t thought of Body Shop, thank you

Fanny the Museum of Fashion will be closed for several years. The intention is eventually to move to the centre of the town. A charity is being set up in order to achieve this. I think the Assembly Rooms, former home to the Fashion Museum, is owned by the National Trust and they wanted the space back. I visited the museum last summer with my daughter.

M&S Riviera Neroli range is nice.
Also L’Occitane - any of their range.
But TBH I only ever shower these days- too afraid of getting stuck in the bath sad

Molton Brown bath and shower gel for me. Their scent stays on the skin (😏so I’m told!). Heavenly Gingerlily and Fiery Pink Peppercorn are nice.

A terrible waste of hot water, resulting in dry, itchy skin. I'm allergic to most things (including chlorine) so a quick shower is best. I can be proud of my efforts to save the environment too!

Hetty unfortunately I don’t have a shower.
I really wish that I did.
Because of my mobility problems I have to use a bath chair gizmo to get in and out which was kindly recommended to me by Riverwalk.

I’m pleased that you are proud of yourself

Thanks for your recommendations everyone, always helpful 😊

I'd love to have a bath, FannyCornforth but getting out worries me so I haven't had one for years.

We do have a separate shower but it's not the same.

L'Occitane, Molton Brown and Fenjal are all lovely, followed up by a moisturer which has the same scent.

I'll look out for the M&S Neroli range.

I use Badedas, have for years, my children say the smell evokes memories.

I haven't been to Bath for years either sad

Oh yes, I forgot that one, it was always a favourite

Another vote for Badedas

Callistemon.
A phone call to your local occupational therapy department should help if you want a bath. They can help inform you of aids available.

Thanks, dogsmother - I am hoping it's temporary as I'm on the list for an operation (or wo) but goodness knows how long a piece of string is.

I love Boots Sanctuary products. As well as shower gel, bath foam and gorgeous body butter, they actually do a big bar of soap, if you use it with one of those scrunchy mijigs, it creates lots of lovely lather.

I think the environment around me might sometimes be improved by a nice long soak in a bath plus my heels and toes might benefit! But we have to do what we have to do and I think if FannyC benefits from a soak- good luck to her!

Do you want bubbles? If not, I recommend Aromatherapy Associates products. Their oils are gorgeous, and the shower oil is great in the bath too. You rub it on your skin and get in the bath, and the water goes milky - you feel like Cleopatra and smell amazing.

A cheaper alternative is the Aldi dupe of Laura Mercer Honey bath foam. It comes in a jar with a wooden honey dipper, and has a lovely smell. It foams (not lots of bubbles, but a decent foam) and your bathroom will smell good the next day, too.

Another vote for Badedas ..smells gorgeous and also produces lots of bubbles from a little squirt so economical too.
( Not that I’m suggesting either of us are little squirts Fanny!🤣🤣🤣)
I also bought the ‘bath seat gizmo’ recommended by Riverwalk and am forever grateful to her. 🙏

As I'm trying to reduce plastic in the bathroom I buy sachets of bath additives. I'm not sure if it makes for less plastic all in all but those huge bottles of bubble bath are definitely not coming into my house any more.

DH and I bath together, as we have a huge bathtub and I wouldn't run a bath just for myself. So we go for scents that are neutral and not too floral, such as almond or lemon. None of this will help you, except to say that a liquid bubble bath certainly foams more than crystals.

We use Original Source Lavendar shower gel, pleasant smell.

Easy to use a dab, fast, no time wasted.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 04-Apr-23 15:56:41

Neom is my go to range for bath/shower products, M & S Therapy range is nice also.

Washerwoman Tue 04-Apr-23 18:24:48

Neals Yard and Tisserand Bath oils and foams for me.And bought some lovely bath salts from a little shop un Anglesey called Bare. You can order refills for the bottle so I must do that.

I second Dr. Teal's, and Ombra if you have it available there. Nice scents, and the bubbles last a bit longer than others .
