I keep seeing adverts for mascara for mature women that promise lovely long thick eyelashes, makes like Prime Cosmetics, Thrive and even Look Fabulous Forever. At the moment I use Maybelline, but honestly, are these more expensive brands aimed at us any better?

For many years I've got my eyelashes tinted. I know it only lasts about 4/5 weeks & then I use mascara for a while, then tints again. I love it, no remover to use.

No problem with mascara - or any makeup - so long as it is vegan. This means that not only is it NOT tested on animals, but contains no animal products. Maybelline, Max Factor and many others exploit animals in the most disgusting ways in order to sell into the Chinese market, which requires animal testing. Whenever I see a celebrity chirrup ‘You’re worth it’ about L’Oreal, my response is ‘No you’re not!’. Unless a product states that it is vegan friendly or carries the rabbit logo - PETA is a good benchmark - you can guarantee animal exploitation. This goes for almost all perfumes and expensive toiletries, too, including Clinique, Estee Lauder, Chanel and Dior. Simply read the label and decide how far you will go for vanity. Nothing is worth an animal’s suffering.

Well said. 👏👏👏 It seems from the posts here that few give a damn.

My aged short lashes are nothing without a white base primer.
A primer really builds them up so it doesn’t matter what mascara I use after that 👍

I've been on a mascara quest myself, especially as I've gotten older. I've tried a variety of brands, both budget friendly and high end. While I've found some great options, I've also learned that price doesn't always equate to quality.

I recently purchased Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara from VYDT (https://www.dealsandstealstoday.com/view-your-deal/) after seeing so many positive reviews online. I was initially skeptical, but I'm so glad I took the plunge. It's exceeded my expectations.

This mascara is incredibly affordable, yet it delivers on its promises. It's easy to apply, doesn't flake, and lasts all day. Plus, it gives my lashes a noticeable boost in volume and length.

If you're looking for a great mascara that won't break the bank, I highly recommend giving Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara a try. You can find it on View Your Deal Today or other online retailers.

I use a Rimmel one in a maroon case. It doesn't clump or irritate my eyes.
Feel naked with out a couple of coats.
