I am looking for inspiration from other Grans for suggestions for a man's 70th birthday present.
I don't particularly want to buy nice wine or a food hamper, as I have done that previously. Nothing stands out on the John Lewis or M&S gift pages. He is not sporty though is fit and active.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Does he have a Google nest or Alexa, if not night he appreciate one? My son bought me one last year and I use it a lot, or a little Bluetooth speaker for listening to podcasts or music being played on his phone

I got my husband a mug with 70 on it. He loves it. Still using it 2 years on. It isn't how much you spend, it's about finding something that can be used and appreciated.

Speaking as a 70-year-old man (72 actually but who’s counting) I can tell you one of the best presents I ever received was an experience of JCB racing. Amazing fun, and anybody with a driving licence can do it, as long as you are fit enough to climb into the cab.

I would go with a Food Hamper as it can be shared with his family as well. Is this man a friend, relative etc.

If there is a good little theatre in a nearby town, sometimes they put on great tribute acts, the ELO experience was fantastic, depends on what kind of music he/ they like & shouldn’t cost the earth!

Just bought a friend turning 70 a hard cover book of the year he was born. Very interesting facts and pictures of the year, he was very pleased with the gift.

Theatre vouchers/tokens, which when purchased have no expiry date, which is a plus side. The person you've the gifted can use them whenever they choose. They can be used at theatres nationwide.
A bit different from other vouchers/tokens where there are time limits to using them.

Why don't you ask him or his wife?
