Forgive me if someone’s already posted a thread about this but what do people think about the Louis Theroux documentary The Settlers? I knew it would be uncomfortable viewing but have forced myself to watch it.
To see the sociopathic (his words) Daniella Weiss try to justify what’s happening in the West Bank and the settlers’ determination to enter Gaza was utterly chilling.
She smiles but her eyes are filled with evil. Theroux surpassed himself; he is so measured in his communication and simply allows his interviewees to expose themselves for what they are.

Theroux was wrong to say on TikTok “the Palestinians have been there for centuries “ !

Where have they been then if not there?

No, he wasn't. How on earth can you support that?

We did indeed leave the mess behind, as with other post WW2 decision like the division of India/Pakistan.

For all practical purposes (after the Balfour promise and WW2)

Israel was carved out of an area that had been lived in by both Jewish and Arab (and some Christian) peoples for centuries. It left remaining lands for Palestinians, the West Bank and Gaza.

Israeli settlements in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, as well as in the Syrian Golan Heights, are illegal under international law. These settlements are in violation of Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, and in breach of international declarations.
