That’s money well spent, my mum used to say.

In terms of improving your happiness/ enjoyment/ mental well-being/ quality of life what have you spent money on to best effect?

Holidays, mostly, but sometimes just a small amount of money spent can make a difference.
Last year I bought a lovely coat in the sales for £40.
Or my airfryer, which cost about £45.

Deciding to have 2 ovens when planning our new kitchen (10 years ago). With our expanding family, trying to feed them all when hosting family get-togethers was becoming increasingly difficult. Luckily we got a really good deal on 2 Neff slide and hide ovens and they have made catering for my gang so much easier.

A lovely Oak gazebo we had erected in the garden. The garden furniture can stay out uncovered all summer. We get to enjoy it without wondering if we should cover it in case it rains. The two cats love it as they have a comfortable outdoor space to sleep, but we are forever brushing their hair off the cushions!

Laser eye surgery.

I was very short sighted, hated wearing glasses, wore contact lenses for 28 years, which was a faff 🙄.

After 20 years it still feels like a miracle that I have 20/20 vision. Money very well spent.

Bi-fold doors across the back of our house, which faces south. When we moved in 6 years ago we intended to have a conservatory installed as we had loved the one at our previous house (also south facing) but so glad we decided on bi-folds, loads of light and warmth streaming in and house and garden blending together in the summer months.

A stairlift. I don’t need to use it all the time but it helps so much on my bad days.

Excuse my ignorance but what is a Thermomix?

It’s magic, it does everything!

The best thing I have ever bought.

Our trip to Canada to see a very old friend in one part, then exploring, then flying across to the other side to see much loved and missed family.
