Just been to exercise class (over 70s) so am wearing trainers (white,clean)cropped black trousers ,coolest crinkle top ,v-necked sleeveless pale aqua with brown/beige pattern.No make-up,no rings,understated gold necklace (bought in Dubai!!)
This gear is strictly for comfort.

Podiatrist insists on lace-up shoes with prosthetic inserts AND I even have to wear something under my instep otherwise in agony. This is all death to smart shoes. I had almost given up, though have just bought some cream brogues which I really like. Any suggestions anyone?

Crocs are sufficiently moulded to be very comfortable to wear, none of that collapsing arches feeling, and weigh nothing if you are packing a weekend bag.

At 63 I thought it was time I threw away my G-string knickers so I have and boy am I comfortable now.

I think you should wear what you feel comfortable in and is appropriate for what you are doing e.g. if you are at keep fit wear leggings and trainers or if you are going out to a posh do, then high heels and long skirt/dress is the code as far as I am concerned, as long as I don't have to walk far.

Having said that, I must admit I have been going through a stage where I didn't want to look like 'mutton dressed as lamb' but I didn't want to look frumpy either, getting that balance is very difficult. I almost feel like I have someone elses body and I WANT MINE BACK!!!

I keep looking longingly at those soft, all in one piece bras,as they look so comfy, and I'm fed up with underwires digging in when I sit down for any length of time.
It would be the end of glamour in my undie drawer!

Duch of Cambridge has certainly influenced fashion. While out shopping you would swear that the whole nation was going to spend its summer in garden parties, and that they were all suited to wearing skin tight dresses in primary colours.
It was a relief to pop into Zara, who, being Spanish, and not influenced by Kate's style, are doing lots of neutral colours. Restful on the eye after the visual assault that is a department store fashion department this season. Nicer things than Zara has had for years too e.g. cream silk shirts

Camilla appears to be wearing a hat that is not so much headwear as an Olympic venue.

But had you see the thing Zara had on her head ...they gave a bird's eye view when she entered the Cathedral ...it reminded me of those long balloons that get twisted into headgear!!

I don't care if I live to be 100 , I'll never wear one of these fleeces with animals on them, eg, wolves, bears , kittens, they look wonderful with black leggings and white trainers

I fancied one of these seamless, longer length soft bras, but as I'm only 4ft 11 , I might have to tuck it in my knickers, like you did with your vest when you were a child,

granny ! And it might hang out underneath the legs - not what you want with your bra! It was a bit of a nuisance when it was your vest, too!

No, vests were normal , I just had a short body, still have, although it's grown more rotund!

I think my mother bought everything for me to 'grow into', Anagram! I was always very tall for my age, and everything I wore seemed to be too long for me, so that I would get plenty of wear out of it before I grew any further....except for my socks which never reached my knees properly . Can anyone remember having to wear 'garters' made of elastic which held your socks up? My socks were always fawn, and the elastic was always too tight.

Oh Yes Green I remember garters - my Mum sewed little rings of elastic and yes, they were too tight! I went to boarding school when I was 11 and my blazer sleeves were off the end of my hands; when I left aged 17, I was still in the same blazer only the sleeves were half way up my forearms; that's taking economy a bit far
