The 200 winners should have their copies of Spare Brides by now, so if you got one (or indeed if you didn't and bought one anyway) do add your questions and comments for author Adele Parks.
There's still time for you to buy a copy and join in this month's Book Club. We will be sending the questions over to Adele at the end of August.
Oh dear, I started this book with high hopes for a glimpse of life post WW I, but despite some very heavy handed attempts at social commentary, it is becoming very Mills and Boon. Will she fall? Of course she will, a bit of 20's bodice ripping then happy ever after. " Singled Out" by Virginia Nicholson is on the other hand a fascinating look at the many many ways women's lives were changed by the Great War.
I must be going doolally! I can't remember registering for this book but my lovely postie, Joe has just brought me one, so I must have! Thank you GN and sorry for being so dim!
Just received my copy this morning - have to finish what I am currently reading - a tear jerker 'Between a Mother and her Child' by Elizebeth Noble - I keep crying!! So will be pleased to read something less emotional next.
I have no recollection of applying for this book but as just back from Holiday & read everything on my Kindle I am very grateful- thank you I'll get started over the weekend. GC permitting!
